A Study Report On The Practice Of English Liaison Interpreting

This paper mainly discusses the experience and comprehension in liaison interpreting of foreign visiting groups in Guangxi Normal University. Problems and solutions in interpreting practice are summarized. This interpreting task has features in different practice cases and sites interpretation. Therefore, some key problems are analyzed.This paper mainly discusses liaison interpreting in formal conversation, inspection and banquet.This paper composes of four parts. The Introduction begins with the background, objects and the aim of liaison interpreting for different universities. The brief definition of the interpreting is stated firstly. Then the brief summary of the domestic and overseas study of liaison interpreting is showed. The second chapter describes the introduction of the process of the interpreting task, including preparation before interpreting and interpreting stages. The third chapter analyzes the cases.Problems and thoughts during interpreting are listed. Questions and thoughts of cross-cultural communication are listed. The effective interpreting strategies and the solutions to the problems are showed in this chapter.The forth chapter is the conclusion of the interpreting report. The good performances as well as the bad ones are analyzed so that I can do better in the future interpreting practice.
