Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of Kuijie Soup enema in Treating Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State patients.Methods:1.47 case of Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State outpatients and inpatients from 2008.3 to 2009.2 of Second Affiliated Hospital of Huan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were divided into two groups randomly and balanced.2. The therapy group of 24 cases was treated with Kuijie Soup enema while the control group of 23 cases was treated with Jiechangning enema. Two groups were both treated for four weeks.3. The mucosal lesion efficacy of colonoscopy, mucosal pathology efficacy, TCM Syndrome efficacy, the main symptoms of efficacy and adverse drug reaction of each group were observed before and after treatment. Results:1. Two groups of mucosal lesion efficacy of colonoscopy compared with the therapy group the total effective rate 91.67%, control group, the total effective rate 73.91%, compared the two groups had statistical significance(P<0.05).2. Two groups of mucosal pathological effects, therapy group, the total efficiency of 83.33%,in the control group the total effective rate 65.22%,compared the two groups had statistical significance(P<0.05).3. Two groups of TCM Syndrome total score were comparable pre-treatment (P>0.05).The TCM Syndrome total score of two groups of patients before and after treatment were all improved (P<0.05). The improved of TCM Syndrome total score of two groups had statistical significance (P<0.05). Two groups of TCM Syndrome efficacy, therapy group, the total efficiency of 91.67%,in the control group the total effective rate 73.91%, compared the two groups had statistical significance (P<0.05).4. Compared two groups of the main symptoms of effects. Two groups improve efficacy in the diarrhea, blood will, abdominal pain such as the main disease and short red urine, pale dull, chest and rib pain, physical burnout syndrome, such as minor symptoms had significant difference(P<0.05), and the therapy group compared to control group in improvement of physical burnout has significant difference extremely(P<0.01).The improves between two groups effects in abdominal distention, tenesmus, and anal burning, body symptoms such as hot had no statistically significant(P>0.05) 5. There were no adverse drug reactions during study. Conclusion:The study showed that:1. Kuijie Soup enema can obviously improve the the mucosal lesion efficacy of colonoscopy of Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State patients, which was superior to Jiechangning.2. Kuijie Soup enema can obviously improve the mucosal pathological effects of Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State patients, which was superior to Jiechangning.3. Kuijie Soup enema can obviously improve the TCM Syndrome efficacy of Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State patients, which was superior to Jiechangning.4. Kuijie Soup enema can obviously improve the diarrhea, blood will, abdominal pain such as the main disease and Short red urine, pale dull, chest and rib pain, physical burnout syndrome, such as minor symptoms obviously in Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State patients. Kuijie Soup enema was superior to Jiechangning in the improved of main symptoms of efficacy.5. There were no adverse drug reactions during study.Kuijie Soup enema is a safe treatment.6. Kuijie Soup enema is a safe and effective treatment for Moist Heat and Blood Stasis syndrome of Ulcerative Colitis Active State. The mechanism of Kuijie Soup effects need to be studied in the future.
