By consulting the correlational data and literature, researches were performed in these aspects listed below in order to protect the wild resource of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. in Jiangsu Province, and to promote sustaintable using of this excellent resources,and to explore the method of controlling the inner qualities of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC.,in order to provide good one to clinical use.Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC.is geo-authentic crude drugs and recongized good variety in Jiangsu province,especially in Maoshan ,Jurong. We take investigation of the living environment ,find the endangered mechanism: because of the impact of various human factors in recent years, living environment has been seriously damaged,region of wild resources are less and less in Jiangsu. Another reason is that Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC belong to plant which is cross-pollination, fruit rate is lowest. Now, Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. has scarce number of individuals in the populations, the development of the population is more slowly.By investigation of ecological appropriateness of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC,we found that it has higher demand on the living environment and in the community be on a vulnerable groups. Soil analysis shows that the ecological appropriateness of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. is slightly acidic one , loose structure, rich in organic matter, harmful elements AS, Sb content was significantly lower than that of other non-typical soil, Ca, Cu and Zn were higher than those of other non-real estate Road, on the P and K are enrichment which provide a basis for the genuineness of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC.Established a quality evaluation methods of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. Established analysis method of GC-Ms to the volatile components Take analysis of the volatile oil components in seven different origin of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. The results showed that: four major components in authentic Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. of the relative percentage is 60.6%, the ratio of (Atractylon:Hinesol:β-Eudesmol: Atractylodin) is (0.97:0.30:0.07:1 ),which is consistent with the geo-authentic crude drugs. Drugs from different place have obvious difference in volatile oil components and the ratio of main components. We take determination of Atractylon,β -Eudesmol,Atractylodin in 20 samples,the result is similar to GC-MS,we also prove that the Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. in Maoshan is geo-authentic crude drugs. The contents of Atractylon and Atractylodin of wild Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC in Huoshan,AnHui is higher than in cultivated Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC in Huoshan.,but the content ofβ-Eudesmol is on the contrary. We take determination on Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC in different growth years of Xinyang,HeNan.The contents ofβ-Eudesmol and Atractylon in 2 growth years is higher than 1 growth years obviously,the content of Atractylodin in the different growth years is similar. We also take determination of lateral root of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. in Xinyan,HeNan.The results showed that:the contents of volatile oil components is obviously lower in lateral root.Atractylodes lancea was pollinated artificially at its florescence. It was showed that artificial pollination can help gynoecia to accomplish the process of fecundation. Artificial pollination is good for for Atractylodes lancea to propagate prosperously in field, and it can raise seed set propagation coefficient significantly. At the same time, specific conditions of additional seeding that should be noticed were groped when using this method to increase the population quantity of Atractylodes lancea. It was found that Atractylodes lancea can grow better when choosing the rhizome with a bud which height is 2~7cm and when planting it to a place with little bush and many weeds. Artificial pollination and additional seeding can be new measures to increase the population quantity of Atractylodes lancea. To get a new approach to conserve the germplasm of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC.Dry suspension of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC seeds cryopreservation and the use of vitrification was studied in vitro shoot cryopreservation. The studing on the regeneration of preserved seeds shows that the regeneration rate of seeds was over 70%.The studing on the regeneration of preserved shoot-tips shows that the regeneration rate of shoot-tips was over 30%.Cryopreservations can be used to Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC seeds and shoot-tips in vitro for the preservation, Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC germplasm for the long-term preservation of resources provides a theoretical basis.
