ObjectivesRegarding the main districts of Chongqing as empirical research object, through sorting out theory of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals and summarizing related experience at home and abroad, this study conducted quantitative research and qualitative research on the supply and demand situation of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals of Chongqing city. By making comprehensive analysis on data and interview contents, this study explored the feasibility, problems and strategies of developing medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals of Chongqing city, and provided reference basis for relevant subjects during the development of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals.Data Source & Research MethodData Source: Literature, research reports and and information about medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals were collected by searching databases, checking related books and periodicals and retrieving search engine; and related statistical data or materials such as laws and regulations, policy documents and annual statements were from government’s official websites of health, finance, civil administration and statistics. Empirical materials of each sample areas were acquired through unified questionnaires and interview outlines. Expert interviews was targeted at 5 experts of health service management, sociology, ethics and economics as well as 1 leader of health administrative departments; depth interviews were conducted on 20 medical staff from 4 private hospitals; field investigation was made in a typical medical-nursing combined institution in private hospital; 420 questionnaires were distributed for community residents in Yuzhong district, Banan district, Jiulongpo district and Jiangbei district, and statistic analysis was made on 400 effective questionnaires.Research Methodliterature research method, questionnaire method, depth interview method, expert interview method, typical case study method, statistical analysis method, etc.Results(1)To conduct extensive investigation on the basic theories of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals, and drew some referential experience by studying and analyzing international and domestic experience.(2)To conduct quantitative statistics and analysis on the supply and demand situation of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals of Chongqing city, and discussed the feasibility of developing medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals of Chongqing on the basis of getting the picture of supply and demand situation..(3)Some problems existing in the medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals of Chongqing city were analyzed.( 4) Some countermeasures and suggestions on developing medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals of Chongqing city were put forwarded by combining related researches on investigated areas.Conclusion & SuggestionThrough studying on related literature of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals at home and abroad, conducting the survey of demand and supply, interviewing experts, empirical analysis and typical case studying, the feasibility of developing medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals was analyzed, and some problems and challenges in the process of developing medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals were found. Consequently, the factors restricting the development of medical-nursing combined pattern in private hospitals were found out, and feasible countermeasures and suggestions were proposed from the perspective of social-culture ideas level, policy and institutional level, as well as technology and resource level.
