Objective:To explore the difference of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) between the functional dyspepsia(FD) patients complicating with mild-to-moderate depression and the functional dyspepsia who without depression;Company provide theoretical basis for the treatment of the patients with mild-to-moderate depression FD,also afford a laboratory basis to assess the degress of depression and effect. Methods:Clinic patients with FD were divided into two groups by Hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS),namely with mild-to-moderate depression FD tril group 30 cases and FD of the control group of 30 patients without depression. Collect the blood specimen and gastric mucosa specimens from the two groups. Application of Enzyme-linked immunosorbent method(ELISA) method to detect 5-HT content in plasma and gastric mucosa. Results:The 5-HT content of plasma and gastric mucosa in trial group were higher than control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.01),Depression score was relative to the 5-HT content of plasma(r=0.921,P<0.01) and gastric mucosa(r=0.954,P<0.01).Conclusion:FD with mild-to-moderate depression go with the change of neuroendocrine.5-HT may play an important role in the course of illness.it can be used as a FD patients depression severity assessment and antidepressant efficacy evaluation.
