Bibliometric Research Of Nursing Models Based On Domestic And International Literatures

Objective:This study was designed to analyze the domestic and international literatures in the field of nursing models by bibliometric methods and visualization systems.The aim was to explore the current situation about domestic and international nursing models,and to reveal the domestic and international hot topics and trends in the field of nursing model research in the recent decade.Methods:The international and domestic literatures from Pub Med Data Me SH terms for Models,Nursing and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) Academic Journal Network Publishing Database(CAJD)/Wanfang Data keywords for Nursing Models were obtained as research object,respectively. It was divided into two periods:2005 to 2009 and 2010 to 2014. All of the data were analyzed by Bibliogragphic Item Co-Occurrence Mining System(BICOMS),the international articles analyzed literature number,periodicals distribution,author distribution,periodical countries/regions,literature languages,while the domestic articles analyzed literature number, periodicals distribution,author distribution,research institutions. The high-frequency terms/keywords.co-occurrence terms/keywords matrix was established. The terms/keywords biclustering analysis,visualization, cluster analysis,social network analysis was carried out by UCINET,g CLUTO, SPSS software.Results:A total of 1472 and 3988 articles were obtained from international and domestic database,respectively.771 and 549 international and domestic articles for nursing models were obtained from 2005 to 2009,respectively. 701 and 3439 international and domestic articles for nursing models were obtained from 2010 to 2014,respectively.Bibliometric analysis showed that the international literature number was decreasing,which was mainly concentrated in the United States, England, Australia. The domestic literature number had a continuous and overall increasing trend in the recent decade. The central agglomeration effect of domestic periodicals was not obvious, and core-authors has not yet been formed.The biclustering analysis and visualization showed that the international research topics for nursing models were clustered into four classifications during 2005 to2009,including nursing education/nursing theory,clinical care/psychological nursing,nursing organization/administration, nursing education models. The international research topics for nursing models were clustered into five classifications during 2010 to2014,including nursing theory/clinical nursing practice methods, nursing administration models/nurse′s knowledge and skills evaluation, community nursing models, nursing human resources administration, nursing education models/methods during 2010 to 2014.The cluster analysis showed that the domestic research topics for nursing models were clustered into five classifications during 2005 to 2009,including clinical practice of humanized nursing models, geriatric nursing, responsibility-targeted nursing models,comfort nursing model,and community health nursing. The domestic research topics for nursing models were clustered into six classifications during 2010 to 2014,including clinical applications of collaborative care model, continuing nursing model,maternal-infant bedside nursing model,evidence-based nursing, comfort nursing model,and holistic nursing.Social network analysis showed that the domestic responsibility-targeted holistic nursing models and family nursing was at the core during 2005 to 2009. Patient satisfaction and high quality nursing was at the core,while had centralization.Conclusion:The international research about nursing models was in the maturing period,which had a declining trend. The international research interests focus on both theory and practice, with more open perspective, and its content tended to be structured and detail,formation of nursing education, administration, clinical practice and theoretical research.Exploration on community nursing models was possiblely future priority of international nursing models research.The domestic research about nursing models was in the rapid development period.The research quality needed to be improved,and research topics was relatively fixed, with nursing clinical practice research of nursing models. The clinical applications of different nursing models were still the main contents of the future. The family nursing and continuing nursing model might be the important topics for future research.
