Therapeutic Effect Of Point Embedding Therapy On Alcoholic Liver Disease In Rats

Objective To observe the effect of acupoint catgut embedding therapy on hepatic function and serum related indicators in rats, and investigate the function mechanism of acupoint catgut embedding therapy of “fenglong” and “sanyinjiao” in treating alcoholic liver disease(ALD).Methods A total of 70 SD male rats whose weight are between 170 and 180 were randomly divided into 2 groups:10 rats in the blank group,60 rats in the ALD group. Model rats of ALD were established with alcohol intragastric administration. After 8 weeks, there were only 32 rats in the ALD group.32 SD male rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: including the model group, the tiopronin group, the point embedding therapy group, the point embedding therapy combined with tiopronin group, each with 8 mice. Acupoint catgut embedding therapy at “fenglong” and “sanyinjiao” was applied in the point embedding therapy group. Rats in the blank and model group were administrated distilled water. The tiopronin group was administration with gastric perfusion of tiopronin suspention. The point embedding therapy combined with tiopronin group was treated with acupoint catgut embedding therapy, at the same time supplemented by tiopronin suspention. After treatment of 4 weeks, some indices were detected in the serum such as ALT,AST,TNF-α,IL-1β,LPS in each group by using the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay method.Results 1.ALD model was established successfully; There was no statistical difference between groups in the aspect of liver index.2.Compared with the blank group, the serum ALT,AST,TNF-α,IL-1β,LPS in model group were markedly higher(P<0.01);The ALT,AST,TNF-α,IL-1β,LPS in serum was significantly lower in therapy groups than that in model group(P<0.05).3. Compared with the tiopronin group, the serum LPS in the point embedding therapy group was lower(P<0.05);The LPS in serum was significantly lower in the point embedding therapy combined with tiopronin group than that in the tiopronin group(P<0.01).Conclusion1. Acupoint catgut embedding therapy of “fenglong” and “sanyinjiao” exert the therapeutic effect by reducing ALT,AST,TNF-α,IL-1β,LPS levels in serum on alcoholic liver disease in rats.2.There is a certain therapeutic effect of point embedding therapy on ALD.3.Combined therapy based on the point embedding therapy was more effective than medication alone in the therapeutic effect of the Alcoholic Liver Disease.
