Clinical Study Of Montelukast Sodium Combined With Fluticasone Propionate To Treat Children With Cough Variant Asthma

Objective : To investigate the clinical efficacy and security of montelukast sodium combined with fluticasone propionate in treatment children with cough variant asthma.Methods:All patients during February 2013 to January 2015, in total of 240 who were diagnosed with cough variant asthma in our hospital were involved in this randomized controlled trial, they were randomly divided into three groups.Group Mon+ Flu was given montelukast sodium combined with inhaled fluticasone propionate, group Flu was given inhaled corticosteroids singly and group Mon was given montelukast sodium singly.Cough, lung function and adverse reactions were observed after 8 weeks and 12 weeks regular treatment and the recurrences of cough symptoms were followed up within 24 weeks.Results:8 weeks later,the score of cough decreased evidently in group Mon+ Flu than group Flu and Mon after treatment(P<0.05),while there was no obvious difference in group Flu and group Mon, meantime,the percentage of predicted in FEV1 and PEF in group Mon+ Flusignificantly differed from that in group Flu and group Mon(P<0.05), and the latter two made no difference(P>0.05). After 12 weeks, there was no significant statistical difference in three groups about the score of cough and percentage of predicted in FEV1 and PEF.With regard to the incidence of adverse reactions there was no significant statistical difference in three groups(P>0.05). The recurrence rate in group Mon+ Flu and group Flu is lower than that in group Mon(P < 0.05),while the first two had no difference(P>0.05).Conclusion : Montelukast sodium combined with fluticasone propionate in treatment of children with cough variant asthma had a more significant effect than fluticasone propionate and montelukast sodium singly, while 12 weeks later there were no difference among three groups.The recurrence rate in group Mon+ Flu and group Flu is lower than that in group Mon(P < 0.05),while the first two had no difference(P>0.05).
