Effects Of Montelukast Sodium And Ketotifen On Treating Cough Variant Asthma

Objective: To evaluate clinical effect of Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen on treating cough variant asthma(CVA).Methods: One hundred and five CVA outpatients of our hospital from May 2015 to November 2015 were divided into group Montelukast sodium, group Ketotifen, group Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen randomly,there were 37 cases in group Montelukast sodium,33 cases in group Ketotifen,35 cases in group Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen. The group Montelukast sodium received Montelukast sodium therapy,group Ketotifen received Ketotifen therapy, group Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen received Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen therapy.All the patients were treated for 12 weeks and followed- for 12 weeks.Results: The Score of cough symptom and pulmonary function test in group Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen were better than that in group Montelukast sodium or group Ketotifen. As compared with group Montelukast sodium or group Ketotifen,significant difference( P <0.05) in treatment group Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen,while the treatment group Montelukast sodium or group Ketotifen had no significant difference( P >0.05).Conclusion: The treatment effect of CVA in combination Montelukast sodium and Ketotifen is better than Montelukast sodium or Ketotifen independently.
