Objective: Through the external nose measurement of. Uygur male, female Uygur, Han male and female normal adults with 100 cases in each who live in Xinjiang. To compare all of the data and explore whether there is a difference between region, race and gender.At the same time, the data can be further enrich the Chinese anthropometric database, for our country in different regions and different ethnic cosmetic provide certain data base.Method:This research chooses the normal adult in Xinjiang area, for measurement of external nose based on head and face measurement of Farkas, finally the measured data were analyzed and compared.Results: Respectively, measure the length and Angle project, and calculates the corresponding mean and standard deviation. Measuring project are compared with those of the proportion index of gender differences, ethnic differences and regional differences, some items of the difference was statistically significant.1, In Xinjiang area,the different gender of the same ethnic nasal morphology analysis shows that,in Uygur,the linear measuring project and nasofrontal angle of the male were larger than female, while the nasorostral angle and nasolabial angle smaller than women,in the han nationality, the male were larger than female in all kinds of linear measurement project,and were smaller than women in the angle measurement items, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).2, External nasal morphology analysis results of the same gender between different nationalities in Xinjiang region shows that the Uighur men’s nose length, nose height, nose depth were larger than male of the han nationality,on th other hand,the nasal width, ala length, nasal root width, intercanthal distance,alar base width are smaller than the han men.There was no statistical significance in the ethnic differences of nasal width, alar base width(P > 0.05). The rest of the linear measurement items were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Uighur women in the nose length,nose height, nose protrusion were larger than the han women, and the nasal width, ala length, nasal root width, intercanthal distance,alar base width are smaller than the han women. There was no statistical significance in the ethnic differences of nasal width, nasal root width,alar base width(P > 0.05). The rest of the linear measurement items were statistically significant(P < 0.05).3,The narrow nasal type is most common of the uygur and han nationality in Xinjiang.Conclusion: This study further enrich the anthropometric database, improve the Xinjiang region in different age groups of Han and Uygur nasal measurement system, It provides a data reference for the operation of the people who is different in area,ethnic, gender.It will help people to build in addition to the external appearance of more suitable to the local climate of the external nose..
