Objective:To explore infection characteristics of HPV subtypes, infection distribution of various subtypes and whether there is correlation between different HPV subtypes and histopathological types, which was of vital significance to prevention of cervical cancer among women of the Hui Nationality in Qinghai and the research and development of HPV vaccines.Method:Collected 110 cervical cancer cases diagnosed in Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital from January 2012 to December 2015, of which 48 cases were from the Hui Nationality and 62 cases were from the Han Nationality. Conducted pathological statistics of every patient, tested their HPV subtype, and statistically analyzed the correlation between major genotypes and pathological types.Results:1) The HPV positive rate of 110 cervical cancer cases was 98.2%(108/110). The HPV positive rate of women of the Hui Nationality was 100%(48/48), and that of women of the Han Nationality was 96.8%(60/62). There was no difference between the two groups in terms of their HPV positive rate(chi-square value=1.577; P=0.209; P>0.05). The high risk infection rate of women of the Hui Nationality was 97.9%(47/48), and that of women of the Han Nationality was 98.3%(59/60). The difference between the two groups showed no statistical significance(chi-square value=0.025; P=0.873>0.05). In other words, there was no difference between the two groups in terms of their high risk infection rate. 2) The HPV subtype distribution of women of the Hui Nationality was HPV16(62.0%),HPV18(18.0%),HPV58(4.0%), and so on in turn, while that of women of the Han Nationality was HPV16(55.7%),HPV18(18.0%),HPV58(6.6%) and so on in turn. The difference between the two groups showed no statistical significance(chi-square value=1.090; P=0.296>0.05).3) The mixed infection rate of women of the Hui Nationality was 4.17%(2/48), while that of women of the Han Nationality was 1.67%(1/60). There was no difference between the two groups in terms of their mixed infection rate(chi-square value=0.617; P=0.584). The mixed infection rate of the cervical cancer group of the Hui Nationality was similar with that of the Han Nationality. 4) The HPV subtype distribution was related to the pathological type to some extent in the cervical cancer group of the Hui Nationality, which was similar to the cervical cancer group of the Han Nationality. In the cervical cancer group of the Hui Nationality, there were more HPV16 types to which the squamous carcinoma was corresponding to but more HPV18 types to which the adenocarcinoma was corresponding to.Conclusion:Similar to situations of the cervical cancer group of the Han Nationality, HPV was closely related to cervical cancer of women of the Hui Nationality in Qinghai; the infected HPV genotypes were diversified; the positive rate of HPV16 and HPV 18 was the highest, and the high risk infection rate was extremely high; the HPV genotype was correlated to the pathological type of cervical cancer. In the cervical cancer group of the Hui Nationality, the mixed infection rate of several HPV subtypes was not relatively higher and the superinfection was the main cause.
