Clinical Experience Summaries Of Professor XU Jingyi In Treating Lung Cancer

Objective:To summarize experience of Professor Xu Jingyi on clinical treatment of lung cancer and provide new ideas and methods in treating lung cancer.Methods:The first literature review is about the progress of western medicine in treating lung cancer, which includes pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, diagnosis and present treatment situation. The second review summarizes the cause of the lung cancer, its disease mechanism, and syndrome differentiation and treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine in past dynasties. The third part:To summarize Professor Xu’s understanding of the syndrome differentiation and his experience of treatment.Result:Professor Xu has been engaged in lung cancer treatment for more than 30 years, which assists in forming distinctive dialectical thinking and treatment prescription: ①Xu values the relationship between constitution and the syndrome differentiation of lung cancer. He stresses the importance of strengthening body and exorcising simultaneously.②Xu always treats lung cancer patients with bone metastases basing on the rule of invigorating the lung and kidney. For patients with SCLC, Xu advocates for warming Yang method. For most lung cancer patients with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and other chronic diseases, XU insists on the method of resolving retained fluid and removing blood stasis. Lung cancer with pulmonary infection, Xu treats it by heat clearing and detoxifying method.Conclusions:Professor Xu combines the Physique Theory of Chinese medicine and the use of the clinical pattern of "Physical identification-differentiation of disease-dialectics", and treats lung cancer by drawing lessons from the modern medicine to the understanding of the disease. Currently, good clinical results have been reported. And it has practical significance for the treatment of lung cancer in traditional Chinese medicine.Significance:We promote combine the characteristics treatment of traditional Chinese medicine with modern medical system. It helps effectively control the progress of lung cancer and eases the great burden on economy which comes from surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, et al. The combination helps ease the pain of lung cancer patients and improve the quality of life. The treating Concept of "people-oriented, Survival with tumor" is promoting.
