A Study About The Clinical Experience Of The Treatment Of Lung Cancer By Liu Weisheng Professor

ObjectiveTo study the clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer by Professor Liu Weisheng and to provide the clinical reference for treat lung cancer with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).It is also discussed in this study that how to inherit the famous elder TCM doctors' experiences.MethodsThrough the literature research,clinical research and interview methods,we study the clinical experiences of Diagnosis and Treatment of lung cancer by Professor Liu Weisheng.The "Clinical Information Collection Form of Diagnosis and Treatment of Lung Cancer with TCMby Professor Liu Weisheng" was established based on the combination of literature research and expert advices.The out-patient cases were collected by following Professor Liu Weisheng and analyzed on SPSS11.5 statistical analysis package.Through a face-to-face interview with Professor Liu to further organize the formation of the experience of Diagnosis and Treatment of lung cancer with TCM.Results1.Part of literature research:The clinical experiences of Diagnosis and Treatment of lung cancer by Professor Liu was initially sorted out,the "Clinical Information Collection Form of Diagnosis and Treatment of Lung Cancer with TCM by Professor Liu Weisheng" was established.2.Part of clinical research:In this study,among the 105 cases of lung cancer in elderly patients,the majority was advanced lung cancer with a relatively short course,and most of them were adenocarcinoma,squamous cell carcinoma and other non-small cell lung cancer.Over half patients had received surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy,et cetera.The type of syndrome were mainly classified into the following:flourishing toxic heat,the deficiency of Qi and Yin,Qi deficiency with phlegmatic hygrosis,and each type of syndrome was usually combined with each other.The treatment principle is to clearing away the heat evil and expelling superficial evils,supplementing qi and nourishing yin,benefiting vital energy and dissipating phlegm.The most frequently used herbs are:scutellaria barbata d.don,scorpio,scolopendra subspinipes,herba hedyotis diffusae,liquorice root and glossy privet fruit.3.Part of the interview:Professor Liu believes that the pathogenesis of lung cancer is asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality,and the basic treatment principles are:to combine the disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation,as well as symptom treatment.He is used to treating various types of lung cancer by using self-made "Xiaoji Decoction".Professor Liu has his own characteristics in diagnosing and treating lung cancer,for example, to use poisonous drugs treating poisoning;using self-made "Radiation Decoction" and the "Blood Nourishing Decoction" to treat side-effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and so on.He believes that the treatment of lung cancer with Chinese medicine has its own advantages and characteristics, for it can improve the life quality of patients with extended survival time, and some patients can even live a long-term life.Conclusion1.The basic clinical principles of diagnosing and treating lung cancer of Professor Liu Weisheng are:to combine the disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation,as well as symptom treatment.The most popularly used decoction is self-made "Xiaoji Decoction".2.Literature study is the premise of finishing the famous elder Chinese medicine doctor,clinical study with the patient,objective and accurate information is the basis of the of case collection,the latter use of correct statistical analysis methods is the key point,and participation of the famous elder Chinese medicine doctor is the core infinishing experiences.
