Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects by using replantation to cure finger skin degloving injuriesMethods:Thirty patients with finger skin degloving injuries in our hospital from 2005 to 2012 were involved in the follow-up study. All patients received the treatment of replantation. According to different fingers and different degloving levels, we divided the patients into class I degloving injuries (11 cases with 14 digits), class II degloving injuries (16 cases with 25 digits) and thumb degloving injuries (3 cases with 3 digits). The hand functions of patients were assessed both objectively and subjectively by the provisional functional assessment criterion for thumb and finger replantation issued by Chinese Society of Hand Surgery and the Michigan hand outcomes questionnaire (MHQ).Results:According to the provisional functional assessment criterion for thumb and finger replantation issued by Chinese Society of Hand Surgery, the excellent recovery rate was 93.3% in 30 cases of finger degloving injuries. The excellent recovery rate of class I degloving injuries was 100%, the excellent recovery rate of class II degloving injuries was 87.5%, and the excellent recovery rate of the thumb degloving injuries was 100%. According to the MHQ, the mean score was 89.93. Patients were satisfied with the post-operation recovery.Conclusion.-Repaired fingers can recover its form and function with the replantations of finger skin degloving injuries. Patients were quite satisfied with the post-operation recovery.
