Objective: to compare the clinical results of three different treatments for the degloving injury of fingers. Methods: during January 2002 and October 2008,the 173 fingers suffered with degloving injury. All fingerss were done by three different surgeries:replantation, second toe wrap-around flap, abdominal pedicle flap.Clinical evaluation involved the function of the fingers that according to the evaluation criteria for finger reconstruction issued by Chinese Hand Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association. The satisfactory rate of three groups was statistically analyzed for all patients.Result: 72 of the 79 replanted fingers survived, the overall survival rate was 91%.76 of the 79 fingers were survived by the second toe wrap-around flap, the overall survival rate was 96%.All the fingers treated by abdominal pedicle flap were survived.Follow-up ranged from 3 months to 2 years(average 8 months). According to the evaluation criteria for finger reconstruction issued by Chinese Hand Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association, the satisfactory rate of replanted fingers was 97.2%,while the second toe wrap-around flap was 94.7% and the abdominal pedicle flap was 86.7%.Conclusions: Replantation of degloving fingers is feasible and also can restore the function and shap of the fingers if the degloved skin is still intact,it is best procedure. When the abandon fingers of no replanted condition,we can use the second toe wrap-around flap.At last we choose the other flaps while above two surgical methods were limited.
