The Clinical Study On The Effect Of Combination Of TCM And Letrozole Treatment Of Follicular Maldevelopme

Objective:This study is through clinical research to investigate the effect of the application of letrozole, Chinese medicine combined with letrozole and invigorating the kidney and regulating menstruation cycles. We compare the clinical symptoms, follicle size, thickness of endometrium, the pregnancy rate and other different aspects with each other. So we can chose the best therapy for different kinds of follicular maldevelopment patientsMethods:According to the clinical diagnostic criteria,we selected 90 cases of patients with follicular maldevelopmen at the frist hospital in Yangzhou city, From september 2013 to August 2015. Random grouping, each group 30 cases, there were western medicine group, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) groupand traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine group (hereinafter referred to as the "combination" group),30 cases in each group. The patients in western medicine were treated letrozole in menstrual cycle to the fifth day. The patients in TCM group were treated with Chinese drugs and the combination group were treated with Chinese drugs and letrozole. All the patients in the three groups were treated for three months. According to the exclusion standards, we get 29 patients in western medicine group,29 patients in TCM group and 30 patients in the combination group. We record the date of follicular size, the thickness of endometrium, the level of E2, clinical score, pregnancy rate, etc. Before and after treatment in patients. We processed the data by using SPSS 16.0 statistical analysis software,and the data were expressed as x±s. Before treatment,we used the single factor analysis of variance to checkout there were no difference between groups.Data before and after the treatment were used paired sample T test; comparison between groups were used independent sample t test; categorical data were used chi -square test. Results:After treatment, all of the patients were improved in clinical symptoms, signs, ovulation rate, endometrial thickness(P<0.05). Comparison between treatment groups, on the follicle development is different between TCM and combination group (P<0.05) and the combination group is superior to the traditional Chinese medicine; western medicine group and combined group there were differences in endometrial thickness(P<0.05) and the combination is superior to western medicine; on the treatment of clinical symptoms, TCM group and combined group is superior to western medicine group(P<0.05); the pregnancy rate of combined group was higher than western medicine group(P<0.05). The combined group of follicle maturation rate was higher than TCM group(P<0.05); the luteum function of the combined group is better than western medicine group after ovulation(P<0.05); the TCM group and the western medicine group have no significant difference in E2 level and the incidence of LUFS with the combined group (P> 0.05).Conclusion:Letrozole combined with TCM can shorten the period of treatment, improve patients’ clinical symptoms, increase ovulation rate, pregnancy rate, increase the endometrial thickness,and improve the corpus luteum function. All of these were better than the application of Chinese traditional medicine or western medicine simply.
