[Objective] To investigate the effects of linear face-lift Using Weilamei and PDO on patients with aging midface and lowerface[Methods] This technique is perfomed on 15 patients, by inserting 2 Weilamei into the subcutaneous fat, and 4 PDO into SMAS on each side face. Preopperative and postoperative standardized photos have been taken. Objective measurement including jowl position jowl angle and cervicomental angle were tested, and subjective measurements including the nasolabial fold, the marionette lines and the jowl were used to corroborate the objective measurements. SPSS 17.0 was used for statistical analysis, observed and recorded the outcome in long-term follow -up period, then made a survey of patient satisfaction.[Results] For the objective measure, the jowl position elevated in vertical height by 4mm after the surgery(P<0.05),the jowl angle decreased by 5.5mm in average(P<0.05),but cervicomental angle had no significant change (P>).For the subjective measure, scores showed significant improvements in all assessment(the nasolabial fold, the marionette lines and the jowl, P< 0.05).Complications after the surgery are pain, discomfort, ecchymosis, unsymmetry, but mild and temporal. There were no suture palpability, nerve injury and hematoma.[Conclusion] This combined, minimal invasive thread based face-lift surgery provided a natural, balanced, rejuvenated aesthetic result with few complications and significant lifting, and had a high level of satisfaction among patients and surgeons. It wound be considered for clinical.
