Objectives:The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between the phieglnand blood stasis syndrome of rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory factors, in order to provide a more objective basis for the theory of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and fully exploit the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of RA.Methods:85 patients with clinically diagnosis RA from Traditional Chinese medicine hospital were recruited for this study, including 43 phlegm and blood stasis syndrome patients and 42 non-phlegm and blood stasis syndrome patients. And then collect the clinical data, the concentration of RF、CRP、ESR、Anti-CCP、IL-1、IL-6、TNF-α were measured, the grade of X-ray was also checked. We observed the level of these inflammatory markers、activity rate、X-ray stages between two groups, analyzed if there is a relationship correlation between phlegm and blood stasis score and inflammatory markers level. Results:There are not difference between two groups, including age, sex and course. The phlegm and blood type’s inflammatory markers RF, ESR, CRP, IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α levels were significantly higher than non-phlegm and blood type, activity rate is higher than non-phlegm and blood type, but no significant differences in grade X-ray.Conclusion:The Phlegm group of rheumatoid arthritis has the elevated levels of inflammatory cytokines, and the treament should focus on anti-inflammation.
