Clinical Study On The Effect Of Resolving Phlegm And Removing Blood Stasis On Body Fat Rate (BF%) Of Metabolic Syndrome With Phlegm And Blood Stasis

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of resolving phlegm and removing stasis in the treatment of phlegm and stasis syndrome,and the change of body fat rate(BF%)before and after treatment.MethodA total of 70 patients with metabolic syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis were randomly divided into the control group(n = 35)and the test group(n = 35)according to the random number table.The control group was given health education and basic treatment such as blood glucose,blood pressure and lipid control,while the test group was given orally erchen decoction and taohongsiwu decoction on the health education and basic treatment of the control group with a treatment cycle of 90 days.To observe the changes of body fat rate(BF%),body weight,waist circumference,blood lipid,blood glucose,blood pressure and TCM syndrome points before and after treatment.Results1.The BF% level of the test group decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.01),and that of the control group decreased after treatment(P<0.05).The efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).2.After treatment,TCM syndrome scores of both the test group and the control group were significantly reduced(P<0.01),but the efficacy of the test group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).3.After treatment,BMI,body weight and waist circumference,blood pressure levels in both groups significantly decreased(P<0.01),but the comparison between the two groups was no statistically significant(P>0.05).4.In the test group,before and after treatment there were significant statistical differences in TC and TG(P<0.01)and had statistical differences in HDL-C(P<0.05)but no statistical difference in LDL-C(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in blood lipids in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,the improvement of TC and TG in the test group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.01);the improvement in LDL-C was better than that in the control group(P<0.05);there was no statistical difference between the two groups in HDL-C.5.There were statistically significant differences in FPG in the test group before and after treatment(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in FPG changes before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05).There was significant statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.01).The efficacy of the test group was significantly better than that of the control group.6.The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the test group and the control group was 86.67% and 54.84% respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The test group was significantly superior to the control group.7.When the two groups of patients were enrolled,there were no abnormalities in the safety indexes of liver and kidney function.There was no abnormality on the 30 th day after treatment and post-treatment review.During the treatment,there were no hypoglycemia,no bleeding,no gastrointestinal adverse reactions and adverse drug reactions.ConclusionBy using the method of resolving phlegm and removing blood stasis,erchen decoction and taohong siwu decoction for treating phlegm and blood stasis syndrome can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of MS patients,significantly reduce the level of BF%,improve the glucose and lipid metabolism of patients,delay the progress of metabolism syndrome components,and have no obvious toxic and side effects.
