ObjectiveThe purpose of the clinical research is to explore the best acupuncture treatment of this disease, and possible mechanism of action for the prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee by observing three different treatments to treat knee osteoarthritis.Methods90 orthopedic patients were all from the Guangzhou Hospital of TCM, collection time was from February 2015 to 2016 February. They were randomized to three group:sharp hooked needle group, moxa needl group e, and medicine group. All patients conform to inclusion criteria. Two weeks for a course, after the end of a course of treatment evaluated. Efficacy of specific projects include:WOMAC knee scoring scale, VAS score, and Chinese medicine clinical symptom score. Three groups had no significant difference, (P>0.05), indicating no significant difference in gender, age, course of the disease, syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine, WOMAC knee scoring scale score, VAS score before treatment.①The clinical symptoms and signs comparison among three groups after treatmentWOMAC knee osteoarthritis assessment results showed that after treatment, the three groups, pain scores, had significant difference after treatment, (P<0.05), but the sharp hooked needle group, compared with moxa needle group and medicine group after acupuncture treatment was significantly lower (P<0.05):moxa needle group compared with medicine group was significantly lower (P<0.05):the three groups, joint stiffness, had significant difference after treatment (P<0.05), But but the sharp hooked needle group, compared with moxa needle group and medicine group after acupuncture treatment was significantly lower (P<0.05):It had no significant difference between moxa needle group and medicine group(P> 0.05). the three groups, joint stiffness, had significant difference after treatment(P<0.05), But It had no significant difference between three groups (P>0.05).while in terms of comprehensive integration, sharp hooked needle compared with moxa needle group and medicine group, has significant difference (P>0.05) The efficacy of the sharp hooked needle is better for the improvement of pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee to fire needle, the efficacy of the sharp hooked needle is better in relieving stiffness symptoms, then effect of the warm acupuncture. The Results showed that the three groups of VAS score after have varying degrees decrease (P>0.05) compared with pre-treatraent score, but the sharp hooked needle group, compared with moxa needle group and medicine group after acupuncture treatment was significantly lower (P<0.05).(2) The clinical effects comparisonThe overall effect of the three groups Kruskal ffallis H rank sum test, H=6.28, P=0.14, not statistically significant(P>0.05), sharp hooked needle group 96.43%, moxa needle 85.71%,medicine group 75%; it suggested that the total efficiency of the three groups had no significant difference (P> 0.05), indicating no significant difference in sharp hooked needle, Medicine, warm acupuncture treatment of knee osteoarthritis treatment. ConclusionsAbove all, these methods have significant curative effect on patients with knee osteoarthritis, they can obviously improve WOMAC in patients with knee osteoarthritis assessment (pain, stiffness, physiological function), VAS and other indicators; In the aspects of alleviating symptoms of pain and rigid, sharp hooked needle group is better, followed is moxa needle group. In terms of improving physiological functions, no difference between the three groups. In terms of VAS score, three methods to relieve the patients with knee osteoarthritis pain all have certain effect, but curative effect is best in the sharp hooked needle group. Clinical curative effect evaluation, sharp hooked needle group is better than moxa needle group, and medicine groups, and there is no obvious differences between moxa needle group and medicine groups.
