Clinical Study On Discipline From Prof. SunWei’s Prescription For The Treatment Of Chronic Renal Failure Based On Data Mining

Objective:Analysising the prescriptions of chronic renal failure from Prof. Sun Wei based on data mining. According to the results to explore the treatment experiences and the clinical thinking of Prof. Sun Wei, providing reference for clinical application and evidence for inherit and carry forward the academic thoughts of famous experts in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).Methods:Collecting cases of patient medical records treated by Prof. Sun Wei, then sorted out prescriptions from the cases. To establish a database and standardize the name of medicines after inputting all the information into Excel. Applying SPSS. statistical analysis software to the medicines and its classification, properties, taste and meridian tropism by frequency analysis, then counted the high frequency medicines; using the same software to analysis the high frequency drugs by cluster analysis, then showed the key combination. Synthesizing all of the results to analysis the prescription regularity and academic thoughts.Results:There are total kinds of Chinese herbs in all prescriptions. The common used medicines include Astragalus, Atractylodes, Tuckahoe, Pyrrosia, Caulis perillae, Codonopsis, Eucommia, Serissaserissoides, Polygonum cuspidatum, turmeric, angelica, yam, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, which accounting for 50% of the all used medicines. The mainly function of these Chinese herbs are composed of invigoration, eliminating dampness and diuresis, blood circulation, heat-clearing and detoxicating. The medicine property of warm, cold, mild respectively stand the first, second and third. The three kinds of herbal taste of sweet, bitter, acrid are most commonly used. The liver, spleen, lung, kidney are the top four meridian tropism of all medicines. Cluster analysis showed couple of commonly used drugs, for example Zeeland, Alisma; Tuckahoe, Pyrrosia and so on.Conclusion:Data mining results of this study basically reflect the medication rule of Prof. Sun Wei in treating chronic renal failure and the thought on clinical diagnosis and treatment.
