ObjectiveThrough observing the curative effect difference between the abdominal acupuncture therapy and the traditional acupuncture therapy to treat migraine without aura, this research tries to explore the clinical effect and mechanism of abdominal acupuncture to treat migraine without aura.Method170 migraine without aura patients meeting the criteria were randomly and equally divided into the experiment group and the control group,35 cases in each group. The abdominal acupuncture prescription for the experiment group is:drawing qi to its origin, huaroymen (bilateral), Shangqu (the affected side), Shimen (the affected side) and up Zhongwan or beside Zhongwan (the affected side); and the traditional acupuncture prescription for the control group is:bilateral Taiyang, Jiaosun, Fengchi, Sizhukong, Shuaigu, Zulinqi, and above modified according to the symptoms. Patients of the two groups seperatly receive four-week treatment, with once every 2-3 days,3 times every week and 30min each time, namely 12 times in total. Before and after every treatment, record the two group patients’ VAS score, the headache duration, headache severity, headache frequency, etc. This research uses the VAS score and the headache score in Headache diagnosis and curative effect evaluation standard as the indexs to assess the curative effect. follow up the patients 1 month after all the treatments and record their headache duration, headache severity, headache frequency and so on for assessment. All the data are analyzed by SPSS 20.0.ResultsThis trial chose 70 cephalagra cases included in the standard case, which were randomly divided into control and treatment group, and each case had finished the whole treatment for statistical analysis.Group control included baseline information such as sexuality, age, course, the score of cephalagra, etc. The score of each part compared to the total score, then it is P>0.05. It showed that is was no statistical meaning between the group baseline distinctions, but it was comparable between the group test subject characteristics. The group comparison:(1) Abdomen acupuncture:After the treatment, the VAS score, the total score of cephalagra, the times, the level, the duration and the accompanying symptoms are lower than the ones before treatment. (P<0.05)(2) Normal acupuncture:After the treatment, the VAS score, the total score of cephalagra, the times, the level, the duration and the accompanying symptoms are lower than the ones before treatment. (P<0.05)The inter-group comparison:The total scores of headache, VAS in two group, headache, attacks, reaction, duration and simultaneous phenomenon before and after treatment in the treatment group and the control group were not statistically comparable and no significance (P> 0.05). Throughout the follow-up period, the total scores of headache, simultaneous phenomenon and duration in the two group have no significance (P>0.05). The total scores of the attacks and simultaneous phenomenon in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group. And there is significant in the inter-group comparison(P<0.05).The total curative effect:The effective clinical rate of the abdominal acupuncture group was 88.57%, and the effective clinical rate of traditional acupuncture was merely 91.42%. there is no significant difference in the inter-group comparison(P>0.05).ConclusionThe abdominal acupuncture has obvious curative effect in the treatment of migraine. The curative effect of abdominal acupuncture is better than the curative effect of traditional acupuncture in the treatment of headache, therefore, we can conclude that the abdominal acupuncture is an effective therapy which is worthy of being spread in treating post-stroke depression in clinical practice.
