| ObjectiveThrough the collections of medical datas of the subacute thyroditis from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine and divide them into two groups, one with External application of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine treatment, another with only Western Medicine treatment. Campare the therapeutical effect between the two groups to figure out whether external application of Chinese Medicine has certain effect in subacute thyroditis’ treatment and to analysis the advantage of conbined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in abacute thyroditis. Lay the foundation for the further studies on traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of this disease.MethodsUsing the Retrospective cohort study, collect the clinical data of subacute thyroditis from our hospital(include the branch) between September 2012 to september 2015, divide them into External application of Chinese Medicine plus Western Medicine treatment group and only Western Medicine treatment group. External application of Chinese Medicine is Cornu Antelopis+Sihuang Shui Mi, Western Medicine is prednisolone. Recording two groups before and after treatment with the TCM symptoms and laboratory indexes, compared in the clinical symptoms improvement, thyroid pain improvement and thyroid tenderness disappeared time. Statistical analysis software using SPSS21.0, analysis and discussion the advantage of conbined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in abacute thyroditis.ResultsAfter treatment, both the two groups’clinical symptoms were significantly improved and the laboratory test index returned to normal levels. But Group A (External application of Chinese Medicine combined with Western Medicine treatment group) was better than group B (only Western Medicine treatment group) in the course of disease, improvement of pain, TCM syndrome score and the overall effect. In group A there were 52 patients, the average course of treatment was 30.35+22.309.50 patients’painful can completely remission and occupied 96.15% of the total,2 patients’painful can improve, but failed to completely remission, accounted for 3.85%. The efficacy of TCM is clinical cure in 7 cases,38 cases markedly effective,9 cases effective, no invalid cases. Overall efficacy is 5 cases of clinical control,42 cases were markedly effective,5 cases were effective, no invalid cases. While in group B there were 70 patients, the average course of treatment was 52.47±43.790.50 patients’painful can completely remission and occupied 71.43% of the total,20 patients’painful can improve, but failed to completely remission, accounted for 28.57%. The efficacy of TCM is clinical cure in 1 cases,26 cases markedly effective,43 cases effective,no invalid cases. Overall efficacy is 1 cases of clinical control,39 cases were markedly effective,30 cases were effective, no invalid cases. After statistical test, there were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). Prove that use External application of Chinese Medicine combined with Western Medicine treatment is better than only use Western Medicine treatment.ConclusionThe curative effect of subacute thyroiditis is better in group A that use External application of Chinese medicine(Cornu Antelopis+Sihuang Shui Mi) combined with Western Medicine treatment than group B that use only Western Medicine. No clinical side effects found, have a higher security, it can not noly control the disease rapidly, shorten the course of treatment and improve the curative effect, but also reduce adverse reactions and complications caused by long time, high dose application of hormones, greatly reduced the dosage and the use of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and hormones. External application of Chinese Medicine auxiliary treatment of subacute thyroiditis is a safe and effective clinical choice. |
