The Clinical Observation Of Prolapsed Of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Of Xubi Type Treated In Wenyang Dumai Therapy

ObjectiveAccording to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)and the application of modern scientific method, Using Wenyang dumai therapy in the treatment of prolapsed of lumbar intervertebral disc of xubi type, observation on the clinical therapeutic effect, exploring the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of prolapsed of lumbar intervertebral disc of xubi type, and provided clinical theory.MethodsSeventy patients who satisfied the diagnostic criteria of prolapsed of lumbar intervertebral disc of xubi type were selected from The Affiliated Orthopedics & Traumatology Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2015 to January 2016, and randomly divided into experimental group and control group.35 cases in each group. The Period of treatment is two weeks. The patients in the experimental group treated by jianbu wenshen decoction and lumber Du channel electrical acupuncture according to Wenyang dumai therapy on the basis of conventional therapy.The patients in control group took Celecoxib Capsules combined with conventional therapy. We compared the treatment effect of each groups on Japanese Orthopedic Association Scores (JOA), visual analogue scale (VAS), IL-6, MMP-3 and security to conclude clinical effort on prolapsed of lumbar intervertebral disc of xubi type.Results1. After 2 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of experimental group Was 94.3%, control group was 77.2%, with the comparison of the effects between the two groups, the rank test showed that there were significant differences(P<0.01), indicating the therapeutic effects in the experimental group were better than that control group.2. The JOA score comparison has no significant differences between the two groups before treatment(P> 0.05) but significant differences after treatment(P＜0.01), and two groups of comparison before and after the treatment has significant differences(P <0.01).It indicates that experimental group is more effective than control group in modifying JOA score.3. The VAS score comparison has no significant differences between the two groups before treatment (P＞0.05) but significant differences after treatment (P＜0.05), and two groups of comparison before and after the treatment has significant differences(P＜0.01). It indicates that experimental group is more effective than control group in modifying VAS score. 4. The serum IL-6, MMP-3 comparison has no significant differences between the two groups before treatment (P＞0.05) but significant differences after treatment (P＜0.05), and two groups of comparison before and after the treatment has significant differences (P＜0.01).It indicates that experimental group is more effective than control group in modifying serum IL-6, MMP-3.5. During the clinical treatment process, with the comparison of the adverse drug reactions between the two groups, the rank test showed that the incidence of adverse drug reactions in the experimental group was lower than the control group (P ＜0.05), indicating tne experimental group is more security than the control group.ConelusionWenyang dumai therapy can reduce serum IL-6、MMP-3 contents and improve symptoms and signs in patients with lumbar disc herniation, providing basis for pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is worthy of further promotion. Meanwhile, using Wenyang dumai therapy in the treatment of prolapsed of lumbar intervertebral disc is more security than using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
