With the deepening medical reform, the health care field shows more and more energy, but this trend does not effectively prevent medical expenses rising and medical disputes happening, which increases demands of the government and the public for hospitals to fulfill more their social responsibilities. One of their most common expectations is requiring public hospitals to build modern hospital governance structure to promote their system to be reformed in order to improve management efficiency and guarantee their public welfare. This study focuses on the theme of social calls and carries out the empirical research on the relevant circumstances of the internal governance structure and social responsibilities in various public and private Chinese Medicine Hospitals. Objective:Based on both qualitative and quantitative research, and in order to put forward sound policy recommendations to enhance hospital social responsibilities (hereinafter referred to as " HSR "), this article analyzes the impact of hospital internal governance structure on HSR through multiple regression analysis. Methods:This article takes 79 Chinese Medicine Hospitals monitored by Chinese Medicine Bureau of Jiangsu Province as the research sample, and takes the nature of hospital, board governance and Dean layer as the three dimensions which research hospital internal governance structure, and select variables (HSR index system has been established)through literature analysis and expert consultation method. Thus we empirically studied the effects of hospital internal governance structure to the HSR through multiple regression method. Conclusion:The study finds that the significant factors of governance on HSR including: Education level of dean layer members, Dean of scale of layer, dean layer values and the number of beds, the impact of other factors on HSR is different. Based on the analysis of the empirical results, the paper suggests that the hospitals should scientifically set positions and actively promote to hire staff within and outside the hospitals, and they should also concern about the introduction of different stakeholders, and focus on the assessment and training of dean layer values on management of public welfare.
