Randomized Controlled Trails On The Clinical Research Of Branch Deep Acupuncture For Treatment Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia

Objective:To observe Randomized Controlled Trails on the Clinical Effects of Deep Acupuncting in Yu Yao, Si Bai, Jia Chen Jiang points to treat primary trigeminal neuralgia.In order to prove the method is not only can replace the western medicine treatment but with long-term efficacy, no side effects.To explore a method of safe, effective, convenient and repeatable from acupuncture for clinical treatment is important.Methods:60 cases were randomly divided into two groups(treatment group and control group, each with 30 cases). The treatment group were acupunctured in Yu Yao, Si Bai,Jia Chen Jiang points, and three times a week,2 weeks as a course of treatment, after the end of the course of treatment to rest for 3 days, then totally 2 courses in this study.The control group with drug CBZ. dose of 0.1 g each time for first time, 2 times a day after a day increased by 0.1g until the pain stops should not exceed the maximum(1g/d), until the end of study. Both with the comprehensive evaluation and TCM symptom scores methods evaluating the effect of the overall in before and after, after 2 month of treatment.Both groups with TESS table observing side effects and playing contrast analysis at before and after treatment.Compared with the above method, to evaluate the treatment of PTN with acupuncture effect from the overall efficacy, long-term efficacy, side effects the clinical efficacy of the two groups.Results:1. Comprehensive integration method:treatment group and control group after treatment there were no significant difference(P<0.05), After treatment 2 month,2 way there were significant difference(P >0.05). treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.Chinese medicine symptom score:2 way after treatment there were significant difference(P<0.05),Acupuncture group is better than that of control group in improving symptoms3.Table(TESS) score : treatment group and control group after treatment there weresignificant difference(p<0.05). The treatment group appear different degree of adverse reactions there was 11 cases totally,the adverse reaction rate was 37%.The main side effects were gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation, loss of appetite and anorexia.4. Comparative effectiveness:Two groups after treatment efficacy compared,the treatment group 93% total efficiency,control group 90% total efficiency, there were no significant difference(p>0.05). Follow up after 2 months of treatment, the treatment group 93% total efficiency,control group 67% total efficiency, there were significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture group was better in long term therapeutic effect than the western medicine group2.Acupuncture treatment can improve the treatment effects of PTN symptoms,the effect was significantly better than western medicine therapy3.Acupuncture group after treatment there was no adverse reaction. The abnormal digestive system, nervous system and subjective symptoms of blood, urine, liver and kidney function and other objective signs of drug group after treatment.4. deep acupuncture in Yu Yao, Si Bai, Jia Cheng Jiang points to treat PTN is a simple, safe and effective method.
