Objective To explore the incidence of osteoporosis and clinical significance of bone metabolic in elder men. Methods 156 elder male patients were included in this study. According to bone mineral density examination, these patients were divided into 3 groups:normal group (80 cases.51.3%), osteopenia group (54 cases,34.6%), osteoporosis group (22 cases, 14.1%). The serum levels of UA, CREA, BUN,TC,TG,ALB,FGlu,HbAlc,Ca,P, ALP.PTH,25 OHD, PINP, N-MIDBGP and CTX were detected. Results ①.There were no statistical differences on HbAlc, UA,CREA,BUN,TC between the three groups. There was statistical significant difference on age between osteoporosis group, osteopenia group and normal bone mass group (P<0.01 and P<0.01);The BMI of Osteoporosis group was lower than osteopenia group and normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P<0.01 and P<0.01).②. The ALB of Osteoporosis group is lower than osteopenia group and normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P<0.01 and P<0.01).The TG of osteoporosis group and osteopenia group were lower than the normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P<0.05 and P<0.05).The ALP of osteoporosis group was obviously higher than that of osteopenia group and the normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P<0.05 and P<0.01); The PTH of osteoporosis group and osteopenia group was obviously higher than that of normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P< 0.01 and P< 0.05);The β-CTX of osteoporosis group was obviously higher than that of osteopenia group and normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P<0.01 and P<0.05). The N-MIDBGP of osteoporosis group and osteopenia group was significantly higher than that of normal bone mass group, with significant difference (P<0.05 and P<0.05);But there were no significant differences on Ca and P between three Groups.③. Whether with osteoporosis as dependent variable, multiple factors unconditioned Logistic regression analysis, the results of PTH, PINP, N-MIDBGP were positive factors (OR value was 1.015,1.066 and 1.015,respectively). ④. There was significant differences of osteoporosis and osteopenia people between normal vitamin D group and deficiency vitamin D group in elderly male patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Bone metabolism and biochemical indicators has diagnostic value in osteoporosis in elder men...
