Survey On Knowledge And Influence Factors Of Maternal And Child Health Literacy Of Related Population In Anhui Province

Objective: To investigate maternal and child health literacy of target population in Anhui province. To analyze influence factors of maternal and child health literacy in Anhui province and make targeted interventions.Method: The questionnaire survey were adopted to know basic situation and maternal and child health literacy level of target population. Survey content includes maternal health literacy level and possible maternal and child health literacy influence factors. Stratified random cluster sampling were adopted, 5 cities were extracted according to geographical location. 1 district and 1 county were extracted from each city. Object of investigation include premarital check-up population, pregnant women and their husband, parents of 0 to 3 years old children. Data were entered by Epi Data3.1 and analyzed by SPSS13.0.Result:Maternal and child health literacy rate of target population in Anhui province were 0.9%. The rate of basic knowledge during pregnancy, basic knowledge of newborns and infants, knowledge of healthy lifestyle and behavior, knowledge of basic skills were 5.6%,2.3%,3.2%,4.5% respectively. The differences of rate between four aspects of maternal and child health literacy have statistical significance. Rate of maternal and child health literacy were different between different population, gender, area, city, age, marital status, education level, occupation and census register. In 35 questions of maternal and child health literacy, the lowest and highest accuracy were 6.5%(Respiratory rate of infant per minute) and 76.3%(Proper behavior during confinement). Influence factors of four aspects of maternal and child health literacy includes city, area, occupation, population, gender, age, marital status, education level, income and so on.Conclusion: Rate of maternal and child health literacy in Anhui province was relatively low. Influence factors were various. Influence factors can be divided into social factors and personal factors. Rate of maternal and child health literacy in male and female were imbalance. Rate of maternal and child health literacy were different between different area, population and occupation. Rate of maternal and child health literacy has positive correlation with age and education level. Some knowledge points of maternal and child health literacy were weakness.
