Study On Status And Influence Factors Of Health Literacy Related To Infectious Diseases In Residents Of Dingxi,Gansu Province

Objective To understand the status quo of health literacy of infectious diseases of residents in Dingxi city,Gansu Province.To explore the related factors of health literacy of infectious diseases,and to provide scientific reference for targeted health promotion activities of infectious diseases.Methods A total of 4 survey sites were extracted from two urban communities and two administrative villages.Then a total of 1000 survey samples of urban residents and rural residents aged between 15 and 69 years were selected by using stratified random sampling method.A questionnaire survey was carried out by using the health literacy questionnaire of infectious diseases for Chinese resident.The c2 Test is used to analyze the health literacy and the different aspects literacy between different groups of respondents under different sociology of population characteristics.Logistic Regressions are used to determine the major influencing factors of health literacy.The enter equation is aenter=0.05,and the exit equation is aexit=0.10.Results The overall level of residents' health literacy of infectious diseases is 4.0% in Dingxi city,Gansu Province,and the rates of five aspects literacy about consciousness and concept,knowledge,skill,behavior and information are: 38.3%,6.4%,6.1%,10.6% and 10.9% respectively.All aspects of health literacy of infectious diseases are lower than the average level of the country and the west.And the difference is obvious.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis shows that the influencing factors of residents' health literacy in Dingxi city,Gansu Province are education level,occupation and monthly income.Education is a protective factor for each aspect literacy of infectious diseases.With the improvement of education level,the health literacy level increased correspondingly.Among occupational factors,the health literacy level of medical staff is significantly higher than other occupation population.Residents with monthly income of more than 5000 yuan have obvious advantages in health literacy of infectious diseases.Conclusion 1.The overall level of residents' health literacy of infectious diseases of Dingxi city,Gansu Province in 2015 is only 4.0% at a low level.2.The main influencing factors of Dingxi residents' health literacy of infectious diseases are as follows: education level,occupation and monthly income.3.The relevant departments should be targeted to carry out a variety of forms of health education activities.The elderly,residents in economic backward areas,low-income families,should be the focus of intervention.4.Medical staff should be the main force of health education.The easy way to spread of knowledge about infectious diseases,the broad masses of people to have a healthy lifestyle and behavior.Then the level of residents' health literacy of infectious diseases and the quality of life will be improved.
