Objectives Develop a "maternal and child health literacy questionnaire" and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were evaluated, understanding the status of Tangshan pregnant women Maternal and child health literacy, to explore the influencing factors of pregnant women maternal and child health literacy, find the focus population of maternal and child health education, provides the scientific basis for further health education and health promotion.Methods According to the "maternal and infant health literacy 55" to obtain the entry, combined with reference to the relevant literature, group interviews, pre-survey for revision. Then we get the test version of maternal and child health literacy questionnaire, and the test version was used in formal investigation and evaluation; 1323 pregnant women who obstetric outpatient of prenatal examination in Tangshan City Maternal and child health care hospital, Qian'an City People's Hospital, Qian'an City Maternal and child health care hospital, maternal and Child Health Hospital of Yutian County and Yutian County people's hospital conducted a questionnaire survey with self-designed "maternal and child health literacy questionnaire" from April to July in 2015; using epidata3.1 software to entry data, statistical and analysis the data in SPSS20.0.Results 1 The maternal and child health literacy questionnaire consists of 55 items, including three dimensions of the basic knowledge and concepts, healthy lifestyle and behavior and basic skills, for the total questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.890, test-retest reliability, test-retest correlation coefficient r was 0.897, split half reliability coefficient was 0.802; each item and the dimension which it belongs to are related and greater than that of the correlation with other dimensions. The score of each dimension and the total questionnaire scores were correlated; pregnant women completed the questionnaire in 8~15 minutes; the questionnaire recovery rate was 99.0%, the completion rate of the recovery was 91.9%. 2 1323 pregnant women with an average age of 27.8±4.4 years, the 25~29 years old accounted for 45.3%; 87.2% of pregnant women are registered in Tangshan City, 52.9% of the pregnant women resident for urban; education with college degree or above; the 96.1% of pregnant women in first marriage. 3 The pregnant women in Tangshan City with maternal and child health literacy ratio was 23.4%; the lowest dimension of maternal and child health literacy was basic skills literacy(16.1%), the highest is the dimension of healthy lifestyle and behavior(74.6%). 4 Pregnant women with different resident, culture degree, occupation, pregnancy with different holding rate of maternal and child health literacy, the difference is statistically significant; the holding rate of maternal and child health literacy with pregnant women whose production times are different are different, and the difference is statistically significant, but there was no significant difference in the holding rate of healthy lifestyle and behavior dimension; Different flow / labor induction history of pregnant women, the basic knowledge and ideas, the basic skills of the two dimensions of the different holding rate, the difference was statistically significant. 5 The pregnant women who is living in the city, have the high degree of education, in old gestational age, is primipara and medical personnel of maternal and child health literacy level is high.Conclusions 1 Self compiled "maternal and infant health literacy questionnaire" has good reliability, validity and feasibility of the study. 2 The holding rate of maternal and child health literacy in Tangshan City was low. 3 Residence, educational level, occupation, gestational week and production times were the influencing factors of maternal and infant health literacy. 4 Living in non urban, low educational level, non medical personnel, early pregnancy and non first pregnant women is the focus population of maternal health education, the basic skills are needed to strengthen the missionary content.
