Objective:To analyze the general condition, etiology, pharmaceutical therapy and prognosis in patients with chronic heart failure, and to provide reference data for the prevention and treatment strategy of heart failure in the future. Methods:2058 cases of hospitalized patients with chronic heart failure in our hospital from January 2004 to July 2015 were retrospectively analyzed and compared. Results:(1) A total of 2058 cases of hospitalized patients with chronic heart failure were enrolled, accounting for 56.4% of the total cases of chronic heart failure in the same period(3648 cases). The majority 62.4% were males. Han and Uighur respectively accounted for 48.3% and 39.3%. The average in-hospital duration in the 3 groups were shorter,(13.7±5.1) d,(11.75±5.8) d and(7.02±2.9) d. The most patients’ Cardiac function before hospitalization were NYHA III(44.2%)and IV(34.6%). NYHA III patients increased year by year, respectively,NYHA IV patients decreased.(2) The main causes of CHF in patients with coronary heart disease, hypertensive cardiopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy. From 2004 to 2015,coronary heart disease and hypertensive cardiopathy increased year by year, rheumatic valvular heart disease decreased. Uygur patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension were more than Han’s.(3) The hospital main drug therapy for chronic heart failure were angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor / adrenergic receptor blockers, beta blockers, diuretics, nitride and digitalis with the total proportion of 74.5%, 65.3%, 55.1%, 54.3%, 25.2%, respectively. The proportion of patients receiving digitalis decreased(64.6%, 46.0%, 10.6%), and the users of ACEI/ARB,beta blockers and aldosterone receptor blockers increased. Digitalis used by Han heart failure patients more than Uygur, the use of ACEI/ARB, beta blockers and spironolactone, Uighur was higher than that in Han patients.(4) Prognosis was main by improvement, accounting for 85.2%, case fatality rate decreased. Conclusion:During the 12 years, the primary diseases causing heart failure in the hospitalized patients are coronary heart disease, and then hypertensive cardiopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy. Coronary heart disease and hypertensive cardiopathy increased in the latter years while that of rheumatic valvular heart disease decreased. At present, the treatment of heart failure is mainly based on diuretics, nitride, ACEI/ARB and beta blockers, but the use of digitalis decreased and the use of ACEI/ARB,beta blockers and aldosterone receptor blockers increased. There are ethnic differences in the etiology and drug treatment of heart failure patients in Han and Wei two ethnic groups.
