The Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Of Phlegm And Blood Stasis Type By Acupuncture Combined With The Xingcan Decoction

Objective:In order to observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with Xingcan Decoction in the treatment of the patients with phlegm and blood stasis type of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN),to explore a more effective comprehensive therapy.Method:90 consecutive patients with DPN were randomly divided into acupuncture combined with TCM group, acupuncture group and Western medicine group, each group were given control diet, exercise, oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin injection treatment to maintain stable blood glucose. The former was treated with acupuncture and Xingcan Decoction; The intermediate group was only treated by acupuncture and the western medicine group by Mecobalamin tablets (Methycobal).We observed the three groups of patients’clinical symptoms before and after treatment, using Toronto clinical scoring system (TCSS) and nerve conduction velocity, TCM symptoms score, the relevant data were statistically analyzed.Result:In clinical efficacy, In 30 cases of acupuncture combined with TCM group,8 cases were cured,13 cases were markedly effective,5 cases were effective, the total effective rate was 86.67%; In 30 cases of acupuncture group,5 cases were cured,8 cases were markedly effective,9 cases were effective, the total effective rate was 73.33%; In the western medicine group of 30 cases,3 cases were cured,6 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective, the total effective rate was 66.67%. The curative effect was statistically significant (P< 0.05).In terms of TCSS integral evaluation, TCSS scores of the three groups were significantly reduced (P< 0.01). Compared with acupuncture group and Western medicine group, the TCSS score of the acupuncture group was statistically significant (P<0.01). In the improvement of nerve conduction velocity, The improvement of SCV and SCV of the tibial nerve and median nerve SCV in the three groups were compared, and the improvement was statistically significant (P<0.05). In terms of TCM syndrome score, the three groups of TCM syndrome scores were statistically significant (P< 0.01), and the acupuncture combined with TCM group was better than acupuncture group and Western medicine group (P<0.05). After treatment, acupuncture combined with TCM group and the acupuncture group, western medicine group had statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:Above results were to a certain extent, it was indicated that acupuncture combined with Xingcan Decoction was effective in the treatment of Phlegm and blood stasis type of diabetic peripheral neuropathy,it can improved the nerve conduction function and Chinese medicine symptom score effectively.
