Clinical Effects Of Fuxue Huatan Powder Acupoint Application On Stable Phase Patients Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases And Influences On The Blood Levels Of NK And IFN-γ

Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical impacts of Fuxue Huatan powder acupoint applications on CAT scores> 6-minute walk test outcomes、 NK and IFN-γ blood levels, number of times of acute exacerbation of stable phase patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.Methods:100 qualified patients were randomly divided into two groups with 50 ones in each. Patients in the treatment group used acupoint application one time a day for 6 hours during the three periods of canicular days of 2014 and 2015, while patients in the control group applied Salmeterol/Fluticasone powder inhalants with one inhalation two times a day during canicular days for 40 days in 2014 and 50 days in 2015, then marked the CAT scores and the outcomes of 6-minute walk tests, detected the blood levels of NK and IFN-γ before and after the treatments, took down the number of times of acute exacerbation after 6 months’treatments.Results:1. CAT scores of the two group decreased after treatments, the differences between the two groups show statistical significances (P<0.05).2. Distances of 6-minute walk tests increased in the two groups after treatments and there were marked significances before and after treatments (P <0.05), while no statistical significance between the two groups (P> 0.05).3. Percentage of NK cells and IFN-γ levels increased significantly after treatments in the treatment group (P<0.05),while no marked changes in the control group (P>0.05).4. Exacerbate times after 6 months’ treatments of the treatment group patients were lower than those of the other group (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Fuxue Huatan powder acupoint application can reduce the scores of CAT of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable phase.2. Fuxue Huatan powder acupoint application can increase the distances of 6-minute walk test of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable phase.3. Fuxue Huatan powder acupoint application can reduce the level of IFN-γ and improve the percentage of NK cells of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable phase.4. Fuxue Huatan powder acupoint application can decrease the times of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable phase.
