The Correlated Study On Emotional Factors And Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective:Through clinical questionnaire investigate,this paper aimed to explore the relationship between emotional factors and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS),and further to study emotional factors in the role of the causes and development of PCOS.With the clinical treatment of PCOS,we should give necessary psychological counseling to patients,so as to improve the clinical curative effect of treatment in patients with PCOS.Method:Adopted unified self-made traditional Chinese medicine symptom questionnaire, self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale (SDS),acne scale,Ferriman-Gallwey hairy scale questionnaire investigation,and selected 121 cases PCOS patients in line with the inclusion criteria.All the data were counted and entered into Excel table,A datebase was established to analyze date by SPSS 19.0.Results:1.PCOS patients with the incidence of depression was 68.60%,and the incidence of anxiety was 62.81%;2.PCOS patientsage, course,professional and cultural level,acne in depression scores and anxiety scores were significantly different (P<0.05),childbearing age than the puberty PCOS patients of SDS and SAS scores increased significantly;With the higher of Acne score,the longer the duration,the higher level of education,more for non-manual, the scores of the depression and anxiety increased in varying degrees;3.Body mass index,abortion times,hairy and economic condition in depression and anxiety scores had no significant difference (P>0.05);4.Each type of PCOS TCM syndrome,the syndrome of Liver-stagnation(42.15%)and kidney empty type(31.40%)had the bigger proportion,then is phlegmy wet type,blood stasis type is less;5.Within the type of Liver-stagnation and other PCOS TCM syndromes,there were significant differences of the scores of depression and anxiety,(P<0.05).It suggested the syndrome of Liver-stagnations tend to show depression and anxiety.Conclusion:1.Depression and anxiety are more frequent mental reactions of PCOS women;2.PCOS patientsage, course,professional,cultural level and acne has a certain correlation with psychological state,which are also important factors influencing the emotional factors,so it should be taken into consideration seriously;3.Each type of PCOS TCM syndrome,the syndrome of Liver-stagnation and kidney empty type had the biggest proportion,and the type of Liver-stagnation PCOS women are significantly higher than other three TCM syndromes of the scores of depression and anxiety;It suggested the syndrome of Liver-stagnations tend to show depression and anxiety.4.Emotional factors and PCOS may exist side-by-side,the relation of cause and effect of both will be under more explore.So the treatment of PCOS should be emphasized on psychological therapy in clinical diagnosis and treatment and the ways of smoothing emotion should be used in TCM.
