Objective:Observing the efficacy and safety of Sangying tang on treating children with transient tic disorder of wind retained in the taiyin meridian.Methods:Collected up to the standard of diagnosis with 63 cases (which were selected in outpatient department of pediatrics patients in Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of traditional Chinese medicine and hospitals in Sichuan province from02,2013 to 02,2015). According to the control principle,62patients were divided into treatment group and control group with 31cases in each. The treatment group was given the Chinese medicine Sangyin Tang. The control group was given Tiapridal tablet. The course of treatment was 4 weeks. Statistics of two groups were observed before and after treatment and the curative effect difference of symptom score.Results:The treatment group and control group both have therapeutic effect on TTD. The comparison of the efficacy of the primary symptom of the disease:the effective rate of treatment group was 76.7% and 50.0% in control group, no significant difference (P> 0.05); In their treatment of voice tics, the effective rate of treatment group was 72.2%, and 50.0% in control group, no significant statistical significance (P> 0.05); In their treatment of motor tics, especially in the aspect of reducing the number of twitch, frequency,intensity, the treatment group is better than that of the control group, with significant statistical significance (P< 0.05). And the total curative effect in improving minor symptoms, the treatment group is better than the control group.Conclusion:Sangyin Tang is not only in reducing the motility twitch symptoms is better than Tiapridal tablet, but also have more advantages in improving the accompanying symptoms.
