Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Additional Xiehuang San In Treating Herpetic Stomatitis In Children (Damp-heat Syndrome Of Spleen And Stomach)

Objective:To investigate preliminarily the efficacy and safety of additional Xiehuang San on treating herpetic stomatitis in child (Damp-heat syndrome of spleen and stomach).Methods:This study included 60 patients in February 2014 to March 2015 in chengdu university of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated hospital of pediatrics clinics into standard of chlidren. By querying the random numbers table subjects were divided into treatment group and control group 30 cases each. According to the children’s age, treatment group and control group were respectively given corresponding doses of additional Xiehuang San and Huoxiangqingwei capsule. After 5 days of treatment, we compared the overall efficacy and saftey of the two groups, to make a preliminary evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of additional Xiehuang San on the treatment of herpetic stomatitis in child(Damp-heat syndrome of spleen and stomach).Results:1. there were no sistatistical significance in gender, age, course of disease between the two groups (P>0.05), that is to say the two groups are comparable.2. The primary and secondary symptoms comparison:compared to Huoxiangqingwei capsule, additional Xiehuang San on the main symptoms(fever, sores, ulcer, diet) improvements had more significant curative effect, and the secondary symptoms(salivate, irritable crying,face and lip, urinate, coating on the tongue) had improved significantly 3. The overall curative effect comparison: Additional Xiehuang San group:cure 6 cases, significant effect 17 cases, efficient 6 cases, the total effective rate was 96.7%; Huoxiangqingwei capsule group:cure 2 cases, significant effect 9 cases, efficient 13 cases, the total effective rate was 80%, statistically significant differences, suggesting the effect of treatment group was better than the control group.5. Safety evaluation:the two groups had no adverse events occurred.Conclusion:Additional xiehuang San has a significant effect on the treatment of herpetic stomatitis in child (Damp-heat syndrome of spleen and stomach), and the clinical application shows that it is safe.
