Objective:To understand the nutrition knowledge, attitude and practice of secondary specialized school students, to discover the existing problems and analyze its influencing factors, and to puts forward some feasible suggestions, so as to provide the scientific basis for the further nutrition education.Methods:A self-designed questionnaire was distributed to 1016 students of grade one and grade two from two secondary specialized school in Linhai area which were selected by stratified cluster random sampling to investigate their nutritional knowledge, attitude, and practice.Results:1.Of the 976 secondary specialized school students,12.09% are underweight,72.03% are normal,9.53% are overweight,and 6.35% are obese.2. The average score of students’ nutrition knowledge is 16.60±5.91;of the students,19.47% are in poor level,54.10% are in general level,22.03% are in good level, and 4.41% are in excellent level;TV and Internet (70.90%)and books, periodicals and newspaper(62.19%)are the main channel to acquire nutrition knowledge; the factors affecting nutrition knowledge scores are nutrition courses, profession, location of their home, sex,BMI, grade and mothers’ educational level.3. The average score of students’ nutrition attitude is 14.16±4.35;of the students,0.10% are in poor level,7.58% are in general level,64.96% are in good level,and 27.36% are in excellent level; the factors affecting nutrition attitude scores are nutrition knowledge,nutrition courses, BMI, profession, location of their home, sex and grade.4. The average score of students’ eating behavior is 22.33±6.87;of the students,5.64% are in poor level,53.89% are in general level,32.27% are in good level, and 8.20% are in excellent level;56.76% of the students insist to have breakfast every day;of the 976 students,40.06% only have one kind of food for breakfast,51.02% only have two;73.05% of the students often eat snacks, the snacks mainly include sweets (85.96%),beverages (76.95%), and desserts and cookies (71.00%), fried food (68.95%), ice cream (68.65%), nuts (63.93%), sausages(55.94%) and puffed food (50.92%);88.93% of the students do not concentrate on eating,71.93% of them have the habit of monophagia,55.94% of them have the habit of eating supper; 80.33% of them chose food mainly depend on taste or personalhabits, only 8.71% of them depend on nutrition values;the factors affecting eating behavior scores are nutrition attitude, nutrition knowledge,nutrition courses, BMI, profession, location of their home, sex and grade.Conclusions:1. Overnutrition and undernutrition exist in secondary specialized school students at the same time;2. Students are generally lack of nutrition knowledge, The largest difference between actual source and expected source is classroom and professional lectures, nutrition course is the most important influencing factor of nutrition knowledge scores;3. The students’nutritional attitude is generally good, nutrition knowledge is the most important influencing factor of nutritional attitude scores;4. Many students have unhealthy dietary behaviors, such as eating snacks, eating not to concentrate on, monophagia, eating supper, only about half of the students insist to have breakfast every day, and the breakfast is lack of variety, Most of the students would not consider the nutritional value of food when choosing food, nutrition attitude is the most important influencing factor of eating behavior scores;5. The nutrition knowledge, attitude, and practice had a correlation.
