The Effects Of Kinesio Taping On Strephenopodia After Stroke Patients

ObjectiveTo observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of the kinesio taping in treatment of post-stroke strephenopodia. MethodsThis study invited a total of 60 patients to participate the study whomet the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria involved in this study. All the patients were hopitalized by a rehabilitation section of a three class hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2013 to June 2015.The study takes convenience sampling method, 60 patients were randomly divided into treatment groupand control group, 30 cases each group. Measure patients’ ankle joint varus angle, Modified Ashworth scale, Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, Brunnstrom grade, functional ambulation category scale(Holden), tinetti gait assessment before the treatment and after 15 and 30 days’ treatment so that to observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of kinesio taping in treatment of post-stroke strephenopodia. Research results:This study mainly evaluate the curative effect of the kinesio taping in treatment of post-stroke strephenopodia. Through the observation of ankle virus and spastic degree, lower limb function, stabilization and gait before the treatment and after 15 and 30 days’ taping treatment, it can provide the evidence for the application of kinesio taping in the treatment of strephenopodia.1.There were differences between the two groups after treatment in patients’ ankle joint varus angle, Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, tinetti gait assessment(p<0.05).2.The two groups had no difference after treatment in Modified Ashworth scale in 15 days’ treatment, but there were differences in 30 days’ treatment(p<0.05). And the two groups had no difference in Brunnstrom grade and Holden(p>0.05) after 30 days’ treatment. Research conclusion:1.The kinesio taping treatment can effectively improve strephenopodia patients’ ankle joint varus angle, lower limbs spasm degree and function, walking ability and gait quality.2.The kinesio taping therapy is a effective and convenient treatment,and it has provided reliable basis for the further development of taping therapy.
