Objective: DSD aesthetic design software can accurately simulate the effect of the patient before the reparation. It could be a bridge of communication between doctors and patients as well as doctors and technicians. IPS e.max Press has good physical and chemical properties, biocompatibility, good transparency, better aesthetic properties and other characteristics. It is widely used in clinical practice. This study initially assess the porcelain laminates veneer effect of the aesthetic reparation restorative and clinical success rate by using DSD software, aesthetic IPS e.max Press on anterior tooth, in order to provide reference for clinical use. Methods: This paper selected 18 patients, including 54 porcelain laminate veneers, 5 males and 13 females, who visited the department of stomatology of China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University since January of 2013 to December of 2015, aging from 17 to 58 years. 1 case may have mild dental fluorosis, 2 cases may have mild and moderatete tracycline pigmentation teeth, 12 cases may have dead pulp discolored teeth, 1 case may have anterior teeth gap and 2 cases were of teeth structure defect. The aesthetic analysis of anterior teeth was assessed by using DSD software. The aesthetic analysis was assessed by the front and side photos using a digital camera. At last, the smilie aesthetic design was finished. Then, the teeth were prepared after the repairing preview. The IPS e.max Press ceramic hot casting system was used to manufacture porcelain laminate veneers of anterior teeth. After the adhesive restoration, the porcelain laminate veneers were reviewed a fter 2 weeks, 6 months, 12 months and 24 months. The reexamination included restoration integrity, marginal adaptation, color satisfaction, adjacent edge discoloration, secondary caries, postoperative sensitivity, and gingival reaction. The clinical efficacy and calculate its success rate was evaluate by using modified Ryge criteria. Results: 18 patients using 54 porcelain laminate veneers were observed and assessed by clinical observation and evaluation of application effect. 100% of the patients were reviewed after two weeks and six months. After 12 months, 50 porcelain laminate veneers were observed, 92.59% of the total 54 porcelain laminate veneers. After two years, 23 porcelain laminate veneers were observed, 92.00% of the total 25 porcelain laminate veneers. The clinical efficacy after porcelain veneers repaired was evaluated by application of Modified Ryge criteria. After two years of review, one case of porcelain laminate veneer occurred structure defect of the incise margin(1 porcelain laminate veneer), and 1 porcelain laminate veneer suffered fissure of the surface. One case of porcelain laminate veneer had cracks because of secondary caries(2 porcelain laminate veneer). There were one case of porcelain laminate veneer appeared slightly restoration marginal discoloration and one case showed mildly congestive gums reaction(2 porcelain laminate veneers).Conclusion:1. IPS e.max Press ceramic materials have good properties and can effectively save the remaining tooth structure and have an ideal aesthetic restoration effect. Thus, it is a suitable choice for anterior teeth aesthetic restoration.2. By using the DSD aesthetic design software, it could achieve a good communication between doctors and patient, as well as doctors and technicians on aesthetic restoration of anterior tooth and will have a big effect on dental clinical work.3. Porcelain laminates veneer on aesthetic restoration of anterior tooth is a hotspot. This study has good clinical effect and the long-term effect need to be further observed.
