| Objective:To study the clinical efficiacy and pharmacological mechanism of radix bupleuri motherwort decoction for treating melasma with qi stagnation and blood stasis.Methods:The cases of this study are typical chloasma patients who are from the first Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine from January to December 2014 for medical treatment.They are diagnosed qi stagnation and blood stasis according to Chinese Medicine standard. The sixty patients were devided into two groups.The Treating Group and the Contrasting Group, each of which has thirty patients. The treating group are given radix bupleuri motherwort decoction to take for three months. They should take one bag of radix bupleuri motherwort decoction each day, and three times a day, and 180ml each time. Both groups are given 2% Hydroquinone cream to wipe skin place twice a day. One month is a course of treatment. In every course of treatment, obsrve respectively the two group members’areas of skin lesions and colour which appear before and after the treatment, record the cardinal symptoms and minor symptoms, and record the adverse reactions at any time. Finaly, make statistical analysis to the two observated group and then evaluate the treating effect of The Treating Group.Results:In The Treating Group, three patientsare cured, eigth have tangible effects, thirteen are improved, and four have no effect. The tangible rate of effective examples is 85.71%. In the Contrasting Group, one patientis cured, five have tangible effects, thirteen are improved, and ten have no effect. The tangible rate of effective examples is 65.52%. Recording to statistical analysis, P<0.05. It means that the curative effect of treatment group is better than that of control group.Conclusion:Radix bupleuri motherwort decoction is an effctive method to cure melasma with qi stagnation and blood stasis. It has good effect and is worth being popularized. It has no obvious adverse reaction. |
