Observation Of Clinical Efficacy Of Xueyutongtong Decoction In Treating Primary Dysmenorrhea(Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Type)

Objective:This project aimed to observe the clinical efficacy of blood stasis dysmenorrhea decoction in treating primary dysmenorrhea(PD)of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type,so as to provide valuable clinical evidence for applying the blood stasis dysmenorrhea decoction in treating PD of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type.Method:66 patients with PD of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type that conforming to the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups,namely,treatment group and control group.The treatment group was given oral administration of Xueyutongjing decoction,while the control group was prescribed with oral administration of the blood circulation invigorating and analgesic drugs(the Sanjie Zhengtong Capsules),with 3 menstrual cycles in a course of treatment.The VAS value,RSS value,total traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score and TCM efficacy score,as well as uterine artery resistance RI and PI values in both groups before and after treatment were compared and analyzed.Results:1.Differences in the VAS value in treatment group and control group were statistically significant before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the difference in the changes of VAS value between two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).Xueyutongjing decoction could effectively alleviate the pain in patients,and the effect was superior to that of the Sanjie Zhengtong Capsules.2.Differences in the RSS(frequency)value in treatment group and control group were statistically significant before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the difference in the changes of RSS(frequency)value between two groups after treatment was of statistical significance(P<0.05).In addition,differences in the RSS(severity)value in treatment group and control group showed statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the difference in the changes of RSS(severity)value between two groups after treatment was of statistical significance(P<0.05).Xueyutongjing decoction had better effect than the Sanjie Zhengtong Capsules on reducing the occurrence frequencies of various menstrual conditions.In addition,Xueyutongjing decoction was effective on relieving the pain degree in patients,and the effect was superior to that of the Sanjie Zhengtong Capsules.3.Differences in the TCM syndrome score in treatment group and control group were statistically significant before and after treatment,and the total score between two groups after treatment had displayed statistically significant difference(P<0.05).In terms of TCM efficacy,the cure rate in treatment group was 6.7%,the excellent rate was 46.7%,the effective rate was 43.3%,and the non-effective rate was 3.3%,resulting in the overall response rate of 96.7%;by contrast,those in control group were 0%,20%,56.7%and 23.3%,respectively,yielding the overall response rate of 76.7%.Difference in the efficacy between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that Xueyutongjing decoction was effective on treating the menstrual blood volume,color,character and related concomitant symptoms of PD,and the effects were superior to those of the Sanjie Zhengtong Capsules.4.Differences in the RI and PI values in treatment group and control group were statistically significant before and after treatment(P<0.05);meanwhile,changes in the RI and PI values between two groups after treatment also displayed statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Xueyutongjing decoction could reduce the uterine arterial blood resistance,with superior effect over the Sanjie Zhengtong Capsules.Conclusion:(1)Xueyutongjing decoction can alleviate the menstrual pain in patients,reduce the incidence of dysmenorrhea-related concomitant symptoms,mitigate their severities,and improve the TCM syndromes.(2)Xueyutongjing decoction can affect the uterine arterial resistance,which can reduce the uterine arterial resistance,thus alleviating dysmenorrhea.
