Objective:This study wants to investigate the effect of neck point massage on the post-stroke patients with dysphagia, and find a nursing method of traditional Chinese medicine which is objective、effective、inexpensive and easy to operate. Methods:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, this study has selected 60 cases which were randomly divided into a control group (n=30) and an observation group (n=30). The control group received the conventional treatment and nursing including swallow functional training、feeding training、health education and so on. The observation group received neck point massage combined with the conventional treatment and nursing, the observation group adopts three of the Chinese message manipulations:digital pressing、pressing、kneading, the acupoints we selected is:Lianquan、Jianlianquan、Fengfu、Fengchi, five minutes for each acupoint, two times a day for four weeks. This study has selected the feeding-swallow rating scales, repetitive saliva swallowing test in 30 seconds and water swallow test before and after the intervention, in order to evaluate the effect of neck point massage on post-stroke patients with dysphagia.Results:1.4 weeks after intervention, the feeding-swallow rating scales has a statistically significant difference between the observation group and the control group(P<0.01); the evaluation of water swallow test、repetitive saliva swallowing test in 30 seconds only has a statistically difference between the observation group and the control group(P<0.05).2. The comparison of clinical efficacy of water swallow test is:the observation group:3 cases had healed,9 cases had significant effect,13 cases had effect,4 cases had no effect, the total effective rate is 86.21%; the control group:1 cases had healed,2 cases had significant effect,17 cases had effect,8 cases had no effect, the total effective rate is 71.43%. There was a statistically difference in the clinical efficacy between these two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the conventional treatment and nursing, this study adopts neck point massage on post-stroke patients with dysphagia. The results of this study show that the neck point massage can improve the swallowing function of dysphagia caused by post-stroke. Furthermore neck point massage is security, economic, easy to operate and easily accepted by the nurses and the family members of patients which is worth popularizing to the family and community.
