Construction of primary health care system has become the focus of health system reform in China, and the development of general practitioners talent team is the key to improving primary health care services. General practitioners’training is later in China, through the efforts of recent years, the number of general practitioners to reach 145.5 thousand, the general practitioner number of every ten thousand people nationwide to reach 1.07/ten thousand in 2013. There is a certain distance between this figure and the goal of the plan in China. The general practitioners who we currently owned are not well meet the grass-roots people’s demand for medical service whether in quantity or in quality. We need to promote the construction of a high quantity, quality, full of knowledge and experienced team of general practitioners to strengthen the grassroots medical and health services.The construction of general practitioners has a great significance for the development of the primary health care team and the improvement of primary health care services ability. This article focuses on the primary health care in Chongqing, the main line is to build a qualified general practitioners team. The use of literature study, questionnaire investigation, in-depth interviews and other research methods, and get data refer to the "China Health Statistics Yearbook", "Chongqing Health Statistics Yearbook" and other relevant information, for detailed arrangement of the overall status of general practitioners talent team in Chongqing. The development of general practitioners in Chongqing has been described from the quantity, distribution, quality and personnel structure and other aspects.By combing the analysis found issues of the existing problems in the development of general practitioners of Chongqing:(1) The total lack of general practitioners, the imbalance between supply and demand; (2) Regional configuration imbalance, balance to be optimized; (3)The overall quality is not high, the proportion of staff structural imbalance; (4) Incentive mechanism is imperfect, low percentage of actual registration. For the plight of general practitioners faced personnel development in Chongqing, proposed general practitioners talent development suggestions: (1) Emphasizes the role of the government, the assistance of industry association; (2) Multi-channel train a sufficient number of general practitioners; (3) Pay attention to the capacity building of general practitioners, improve the quality; (4) Perfecting the mechanism construction, enhance the attractiveness of the general practitioner’s job。...
