Assessing Postoperative Thresholds With Cochlear Implants Through Both Sound Field Speakers And Earphones

Objective: The purpose of the present study was to study the raise of aided thresholds in Uygur ethnic group and Han ethnic group children under 7 years old with cochlear implants one month later,and under the age of 3(including 3 years old) children with more than 3 years old children.there are 23 Uygur ethnic group and 17 Han ethnic group children,and the gene mutation group with GJB2 and not found mutation group,and there is a difference or not.Methods: All the children were checked up audiology before cochlear implants,oper- ated on successfully,and checked up audiology one month later.Results: The Uygur ethnic group increased mean value were 45.00±4.44dB、45.00 ± 5.83dB、46.46±5.39 d B 、34.17±5.45 d B and Han ethnic group increased mean value were 45.00±7.35 d B 、47.00±5.38 d B 、50.20±4.49 d B 、52.06±4.55 d B in the 0.5k、1.0k、2.0k and 4.0k Hz of frequency.The results are not statistically significant between Uygur ethnic group and Han ethnic group children in the 0.5k、1.0k and2.0k Hz of frequency.But The results are statistically significant in in the 4.0k Hz of frequency.The under the age of 3(including 3 years old) children increased mean value were 44.17 ±3.07 d B、46.25±4.22 d B、49.58±3.56 d B and 52.08±2.85 d B and the more than 3 years old children increased mean value were 45.89±2.17 d B、45.89±2.04 d B、47.86±2.10 d B and 4 8.75±2.28 d B in the 0.5k、1.0k、2.0k and 4.0k Hz of frequency. According to each frequency increase gap of the age group of patients have no statistical significance(p > 0.05).Conclusion: Cochlear implant provides fairly good listening sensitivity to patients with severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss,whether in Uygur ethnic group and Han ethnic group children. This thresholds will offer the help for Hearing rehabilitation,process of regulation and Uygur ethnic group’s vocabulary. Improved degree in Han ethnic group was higher than that of the Uygur ethnic group in the 4.0k Hz of frequency. Children under the age of 3(including 3 years old) and more than 3 years old children with hearing threshold improve without statistical significance.The gene mutation group with GJB2 and not found mutation group with hearing threshold improve without statistical sign-ificance.
