Objective:To evaluate and describe the prevalence of the uygur ethnic minority group's hepatic arterial vanriants seen at digital angiography (DSA). Methods:A total of 253 selective the uygur ethnic minority group patients were analyzed retrospectively. The origins ,course and branches of hepatic arteries were observed. We evealuated the types and frequency of anatomical variations of the hepatic arteries. Results:The standard hepatic arterial anatomy was seen in 71.9%and the arterialanatomy was anomalous in 71out of 253 cases with an overall incidence of hepatic artery anomalies of 28.1%. Sixty-eight(26.9%) of the case fitted Michels' classification , 3 patients(1.2%) were not reported in Michels' classification.coexistence of multiple anomalies in the celiac-mesenteric arterial system in 3.9%.Compare with 1000 cases hepatic arterial vanriants about Chinese is no different. Conclusions:The anatomic variationof the hepatic arteries about the uygur ethnic minority group is characterized by a striking degree of polymorphism and complexity. Since the pattern of different types of arterial anatomy can require specialized preoperative diagnostic as well as intraoperative strategies, knowledge of these abnormalities is of major importamce.
