Objective:Based on the progress of head nurses execution, Probing into the main elements of charge nurses execution, structuring a set of scientific and systemic indictors system of head nurses execution. So as to give useful information for making strategic polices.Methods:Appling for the review study, theory study,open questionnaire form and expert interviews,Probe into the base and principles of building up the appraisal indictors system of head nurses execution.Appling for Delphi method to consult experts the indictor items and weights.A sample test of the index system in a total of 150 head nurses from five three class hospital in Shanxi was implemented to analyze the quality of the appraisal index system.The Cronbach’s alpha was used to examine the internal consistency reliability of the system.The exploratory factor analysis was used to analyze the construct validity of the system.Results:1.Had constructed the executive ability evaluation index system for head nurses:Likert 5-scale method was used to describe the expert’s opinion of the importance of the item. The approval rating of 70% and the coefficient of 20% were viewed as cut-off point and the items with more than 70%, more than 3.5 and less than 20% were selected tofurther research. Moreover, the weight of the first grade was identified with using the precedence chart and the weight of the second grade were identified by the experts’ judgement.The weight of the first grade including responsibility of the execution,understanding of mission ability,task decomposition ability,authorization ability,process control ability, communication ability, learning and innovation ability and evaluation ability were 0.15,0.15,0.13,0.11,0.13,0.13,0.10 and 0.10;2.Test on the evaluation index system:the Cronbach’s alpha of the total evaluation index system was 0.973 and that of each domain in the first grade index ranged from 0.820 to 0.938(>0.70). Exploratory factor analysis indicated that the structure of index system was consistent with the expected idea.Conclusions:The appraisal system from our study definite 49 items, including 8 items of the first grade, 41 items of the second.And the experiment tested the reliability and validity. of the assessment model.
