The Clinical Observation And Expe-rimental Study For Chronic Eczema By Ershiwu Wei Ercha Ointment

Objective:Research the clinical efficacy of Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment treating on chronic eczema. Through the experiments on rats, Preliminary study on the mechanism of Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment for chronic eczema.Method:Clinical study:62 chronic eczema patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group daubed Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment two times every day, the control group daubed Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment two times every day, too.Two groups used the medicine four weeks. Observed the integral change of itching,lesions of morphology,area of skin.Experimental study:With the help of DNCB,we created the chronic eczema model at the back skin of rats. According to weight, the rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: blank group,model group,Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment low dosage group,Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment middle dosage group,Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment high dosage group, Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment group. Observed the changes of back skin lesions in rats.Detected the change of IL-2,TNF-α in serum by ELISA. Researched on the mechanism of Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment for chronic eczema.Results:Clinical study results:1.The symptom score were decreased significantly in both groups after two weeks treatment(P<0.05),except for the area of skin.2. The symptom score were decreased significantly in both groups after four weeks treatment(P<0.05).3. Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment group was better than Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment group on curing erythema or dark erythema after two weeks treatment(P<0.05).4. Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment group was better than Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment group on pruritus and papule after four weeks treatment(P<0.05).5. Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment group was better than Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment at chronic eczema recurrence when we ended the treatment after one month later(P<0.05).6. The obvious effective rate of Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment group was 93.33%, and the effective rate was 76.67%.The obvious effective rate of Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment group was 90%, the effective rate was 70%. There was no statistical significance between Groups(P>0.05).Experimental study results:The level of IL-2,TNF-α in serum, every treatment groups both decreased(P<0.05). There were no significant differences between Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment group and Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment middle dosage group at reducing IL-2(P>0.05),and there were no significant differences between Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment group and Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment middle,high dosage group at reducing TNF-α(P>0.05).Conclusion:In terms of general efficacy, Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment is equal with Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment in treating chronic eczema. They both have obvious curative effect. The onset time of Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment is shorter about curing erythema or dark erythema.But, in the aspect of curing pruritus,rash and recurrence rate, Er Shi Wu Wei Er Cha Ointment is better than Hydrocortisone Butyrate Ointment.Due to the IL-2,TNF-α in serum decreased,the therapeutic mechanism maybe related to reduction of activation of T lymphocytes.
