Fatigue is a very common city illness in the fast-paced modern life. Task Force had the extensive scientific research on the red ginseng and other important medicines for many years. On this basis, this subject intent to developed the health care products which has anti-fatigue effect with the Red ginseng as the main raw material, and named Shenwu capsules and the Shencha wine.Red ginseng is extracted by steaming fresh ginseng(Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) root followed by a drying process, which has the effect of nourishing vitality, complex pulse solid off and the effect of qi taken blood. Polygoni Multiflori Preparata is the dried root tuber of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb, which was processed by black beans. The Polygoni Multiflori Preparata has many beneficial effects to health such as complement liver and kidney, essence and blood and preventing premature graying of hair. Green tea is the leaves of Camellia sinensis(L.) Kuntze with the effects of refreshing eyesight, producing liquid and preventing thirsty, removing fishy and dispelling the effect of alcohol.In this study, firstly, we have the biologically active components contents of the two products of the main raw materials as the standard to definite the preparation of the two products, which was by the the way of the study on the selection of the concentration of solvent extraction. Secondly, we make the qualitative identification and determination of the content of the Shenwu capsules by the TLC and HPLC, then we set up the quality standard draft of the Shenwu capsules in order to provide the basis for the clinical application. Thirdly, we developed the corporate standard of the Shencha wine according to the relevant standards and regulations. Finally, anti-fatigue activity of the Shenwu capsule and Shencha wine was assessed using the weight-loaded swimming test, which will provide a theoretical basis for further development and application. Now the results are as follows:(1) Study on the preparation of Shenwu capsule and Shencha wineWe study on the different effects of the different ethanol concentrations on the active components, which include polysaccharides, protein, total ginsenosides, total phenols and stilbene glucoside. The results were shown that the active components contents were relatively high in general when the ethanol concentration reached about 30%. Considering, we select the 30% ethanol as the solvent extraction of Shenwu capsule and definite the Shencha wine alcohol to be 30% vol.(2) Study on the quality standard draft of the Shenwu capsulesAccording to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2010), we study on the quality standard of the three products(No. 20130401, 20130402, 20130403). Then the results shown that the appearance, moisture content, load difference and disintegration time of the three batches of Shenwu capsules were all in accordance with the rules; On the study of qualitative identification, the same spot appeared in the same location between the test and the reference, then the negative control without interference. The content of the ginsenosides and stilbene glucoside were measured by HPLC, then the results were all in accordance with the rules.(3) Study on the draft of the corporate standard of Shencha wineWe draw up the draft of the the corporate standard of Shencha wine according to checking the related regulatory which provides the basis for the industrial production.(4) Study on the anti-fatigue activity of Shenwu capsule and Shencha wineThe samples were orally administered for 2 weeks in SPF mice and the anti-fatigue activity was evaluated using a weight-loaded swimming test, along with the determination of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), tissue glycogen and blood lactic acid(LD) contents. The results showed that the Shenwu capsules and Shencha wine can improve the exercise endurance and the level of hepatic and muscle glycogen of mice respectively, compared with the negative control group. Compared with the negative control group, the BUN was decreased at the high dose and middle dose of Shenwu capsule and the middle dose of Shencha wine. The level of LDH was increased at the three doses groups of Shenwu capsule and Shencha wine, compared with the negative control group. Therefore, the Shenwu capsule and Shencha wine have the anti-fatigue activity.
