Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qiang Zhi Xiao Po San in children with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.Methods: 30 OCD patients with diagnostic criteria were equally divided into the traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group.The western medicine group was administered with Sertraline hydrochloride,while the traditional Chinese medicine group with Qiang Zhi Xiao Po San for 8 weeks.Comparing the total curative effect, adverse reaction and safety of the two groups before and after treatment.Collecting the TCM symptoms of children with OCD and statistical the literature about TCM syndrome of OCD.Results: 1. The total effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group was 86.67%, 73.33% respectively, the two groups were no significant differences(P > 0.05). 2. The rate of adverse reactions of the two groups was respectively 0% and 33.33%. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3. Security to compare two groups have no difference(P > 0.05).4.The TCM symptoms rounding out the top three were timid, irritable(56.67%),nervous(46.67%),dreaming more(30%).5.The TCM syndrome rounding out the top ten were Liver and kidney Yin deficiency,liver depression and spleen deficiency,both heart and spleen deficiency,depressed liver qi transforming into fire,qi stagnation and blood stasis,deficiency of heart qi and gallbladder qi,liver and gallbladder not harmonious,heart and liver blood deficiency,spleen deficiency with phlegm, liver wind stirring up internally, frequencies are less than 25%.Conclusion: Qiang Zhi Xiao Po San in the treatment of OCD is safe and effective.
