Clinical Observation On Treating Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency Type Of IgA Nephropathy With Zhibai Dihuang Decoction And Erzhi Pills

Objective:To Observe the effects of Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Erzhi Pills on Ig A nephropathy of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency type, to collect the changes of the laboratory indicators and TCM symptoms score during the treatment, to objectively evaluate of efficacy and safety of Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Erzhi Pills on Ig A nephropathy of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency type, and to explore the mechanisms.Methods:The 62 case of Ig A nephropathy patients from May, 2013 – Nov, 2014 in Hubei Provincial Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital nephropathy department of in-patient and out-patient were randomly divided into the experimental group(31 cases) and the control group(31 cases). The control group treated with general treatment, the control group treated with general treatment and Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Erzhi Pills for 8 weeks, to observe and compare the TCM symptoms score, the urine red blood cell count, 24 h urinary protein, blood albumin, and renal function(Scr BUN), liver function(ALT,AST), ECG, stool routine, and adverse effects.Results:1. Comparison of the efficacy of disease: total effective rate of the experimental group was 77.4%, total effectiveness of the control group was 64.5%. There was a significant difference between the two groups(u=2.112, P<0.05) by using the Ridit analysis. The experimental group was better than the control group. 2. Comparison of syndromes: total effectiveness of the experimental group was 80.6%, total effectiveness of the control group was 67.7%.There was a significant difference between the two groups(u=2.431, P<0.05) by using the Ridit analysis. The experimental group was better than the control group. 3. Comparison of TCM symptom total score: Before the treatment, two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05).After the treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.01) between the two groups. The experimental group was better than the control group. 4. Comparison of urinary red blood cell count: Before the treatment, two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05). After the treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.01) between the two groups. The experimental group was better than the control group. 5. Comparison of 24 h urine protein: Before the treatment, two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05). After the treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.05) between the two groups. The experimental group was better than the control group.5. Comparison of blood albumin: Before the treatment, two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05). After the treatment, there was a significant difference(P<0.01) between the two groups. The experimental group was better than the control group. 7. Comparison of Serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen: Before and after the treatment, two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05). 8. Safety indicators: Compared with two group of blood routine, liver function(ALT, AST), ECG, stool routine. There was no significant difference(P>0.05), and no adverse reactions occurred during the treatment.Conclusion:The experimental group can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with Ig A nephropathy of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency type, reduce the count of urine red blood cells, 24 h urinary protein, Increase blood albumin level, and no adverse reaction occurred, show that Zhibai Dihuang Decoction and Erzhi Pills is a safe and effective medicine in the treatment of patients with Ig A nephropathy of Liver-Kidney Yin Deficiency type.
